Hi
I am getting new equipment from a different DME. The machine I have now is a "brick."
I am going to push for a machine with Data. How will I know if it is a good machine.
I think it will be Fisher & Paykel.
cpap machines with data
Re: cpap machines with data
Just curious - why FP? The new Resmed Airsense machines are pretty awesome with regard to data capability.

Last I worked with this DME it was FP. I don't think I have a choice on what brand.Julie wrote:Just curious - why FP? The new Resmed Airsense machines are pretty awesome with regard to data capability.

But, you have a "REMstar heated humidifier" in your profile....... ???Amers605 wrote:Last I worked with this DME it was FP. I don't think I have a choice on what brand.Julie wrote:Just curious - why FP? The new Resmed Airsense machines are pretty awesome with regard to data capability.
Would suggest a Philips/Respironics CPAP or APAP with model numbers equal to or higher then 460. (460 or 560)
Or, ResMed models Elite and Autoset are fully data-capable in the S9 series and newer A10 series.

(5) REMstar Autos w/C-Flex & (6) REMstar Pro 2 CPAPs w/C-Flex - Pressure Setting = 14 cm.

I LOVE my Resmed machine! Just got it in December last year and it is the best I think. Lol!

If you have to do F&P there are three models in the Icon series, the base machine called The Icon Novo is a "Brick"Amers605 wrote:Last I worked with this DME it was FP. The next one.....Icon Premo is data capable but straight cpap, and the Icon Auto is APAP with data, but none of the Icons will be able to differentiate between Obstructve Apneas and Central Apneas like the ResMed or Philips Resperonics data capable machines. The Icons just lump OA and CA together because they can't distinguish between the two kinds of Apneas.
On the plus side at least now the later versions of Sleepyhead (9.8.1) will display the data from the Icon Premo and Icon Auto.
