Directions for a Newbie, Please!

Post by dreamzone » Mon Jan 26, 2015 2:25 am

I won't post my history and questions until I've read as many informative posts as I can research (thank you, veterans!) and am sure I'm posting in the right place. (Also, I need to get my user profile completed.)

I am on many other Internet forums that are divided into sections, with specific topics.

It looks like on this forum, you just jump in and post a new topic, and it gets added to all the others, am I right?

Question: should I just click on "Post a new topic" to introduce myself, or find the right place for my post to go?

Thanks for the assistance!

Jump right in and introduce yourself. Also, please use the link in my signature to fill out your equipment profile so members can better tailor their responses to your situation.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome! Address all your issues here. Note that the mask search will probably be your biggest challenge. I went thru 6 or 8 masks before I found mine. It's a journey.

Best Wishes, Sheriff

Just some posting tips... Since this forum is not segmented by topic, it will help in getting targeted replies to be specific in your title about the issue being addressed. Then keep the give and take on that subject in the same thread. Just makes it easier for you to follow the responses and for those replying to be able to see at a glance what the discussion has already covered. A new thread can be started for a new topic. When a title is generic, it's easy for specific questions to get lost in the body of a text. Some forum members are on the lookout for topics specific to their experience, and may not read every post.

Thank you, 49er, Sheriff, spmccord, and kteague!

I think I’ve got it now…

Will try to post an intro that is slightly shorter than “War and Peace”
