Sleepyhead data - Need Help

Post by chock » Sat Jan 24, 2015 4:33 pm

Hi all. New to the site. Apneasupport.org is not working anymore? What's up there?

Not new to cpap though. Question. Would somebody help me interpret my data? I have a sleepweaver elan mask, Resperironics Remstart with CFlex. Pressure 8,

and some consistent leak issues. I'm trying to analyze the data from my SD card using Sleepyhead. I can't figure out if the leaks are high or low and how much they might be affecting (if at all) my AHI, which isn't as good as I would like it. I saw my sleep doctor a few months ago and she increased my pressure to 8. Any help interpreting the following data would be greatly appreciated. Best, to you all!

the last thing I heard from tracy (the exec director over there now) they were having some problem with their hosting company.... it kinda boggles the mind that it's still down, since i could stand up a forum on a vhost in a couple hours.... but, meh.

your leaks look fine, from what can be seen from that, it'd be best if you went ahead and set up your equipment profile, read the first announcement post, which tells you a LOT about sleepyhead data, and then posted a screenshot of the last day or two's daily tab from sleepyhead

well, welcome to our little group... I think that you'll find that people here are many times more helpful than they were ever allowed to be on apneasupport, and the level of expertise is much greater, (mainly because the more helpful people here got banned from that board for trying to help folks) hell, they even banned jedimark and he's like a NICE guy...

That being said- I've been watching this board and have learned a lot. Most of which is patience. I look at my SleepyHead data every day- it's confusing. I am trying correlate the way I sleep-what I feel and what the results are. I'm probably too obsessive at looking at daily results. I'm leaving a set routine for me- I tried a super cool mask that has screwed things up a bunch. But I've gone back to what works.

Slow and steady.

And here this is from the welcome screen:

The last time you used your Philips Respironics RemStar Pro with C-Flex+...
was last night (on Friday, January 23, 2015)
You had an AHI of 2.88, which is considered reasonably good
You machine was on for 5 hours, 54 minutes and 39 seconds.
You had significant periods of major mask leakage.
Your CPAP machine blasted you with a constant 8cmH2O of air

I think I figured out the mask leakage issue. Just tried on the Regular sized cushion. Yep. I'm an idiot. It fits FAR better than the large. Leakage problem will probably solved. I will let y'all know tomorrow or next day.

And, btw, thank you for making me feel so welcome. I appreciate it very much. I hear ya about the other board. Friggin' nazi-like admins over there. I got warned a couple of times. And, always for legit questions like how do I bypass my Rx on the menu. Something else, I can't remember I got warned for. It's like, who cares? The admin tried to tell me that asking for help was dangerous. Yeah. Right. It's friggin' AIR being blown down my throat not prescription opiates!

Be good.

instead of posting walls of numbers, do a screenshot and post that... far more information, and easier to interpret.

that's very generic, covering several generations of machines.

check the bottom for a REF, or model number. (take the water tank out first)

Model is 450P. I' tried to post a screen shot on this thread but it wouldn't work. I have an older Samsung PC running windows 7. I got the screen shot to paste into Word and Paint, but not here. I'll keep trying.

you need to save the screenshot, then upload it to imgur.com (or other site, I find imgur to be the best) and then post the link...
