Does anyone use Apple Health?

Post by nwootten123 » Mon Dec 22, 2014 11:01 am

Does anyone use Apple Health? - specifically for sleep data, and how it relates to your CPAP therapy?

Just curious - we're researching if our new app should integrate with Apple Health, and if so, how could it be helpful.

Would love to hear from you!

Happy holidays,
Nate

Just in case you did not care to read my wish list, here it is again:

"I would really like to see an online service to help find doctors and DMEs that will encourage full-data machines.
It would also be nice to be able to see in advance which insurance companies/plans do NOT make this such a royal PITA.
--Before you sign up with them!
I have mentioned for years that we really need a way to use 3-D imaging to predict which masks will FIT!
How about a GPS tool to locate sellers in other cities for accessories that were foolishly left at home?
There is only ONE key to encouraging patient participation,--that is THE PATIENT.
We need to be comfortable, have meaningful feedback, and NOT feel like we are being mercilessly jerked around."

I honestly believe this is not too much to ask, just my input

Yes, there are unanswered questions. I'm not sure I'm allowed to answer many of them on a public forum. I'll give it a shot, below:

"Who is we"? - we are a mobile design and development agency
"Do you actually use a PAP machine?" - I don't; which is why I need help from any volunteers, for the sake of research and helping real users
"What area are you targeting and what specifically do you hope to achieve?" - We'd like to help people report and engage in their therapy. I can provide more details on a phone call
"Is this another school project, a commercial project or a philanthropic endeavor?" - commercial

"If you share your goals, aspirations and motivation, you will either get great assistance or directions to the exit."
"What is your app designed to do"
"DME ratings?"
"All the data showing?"
"Machine ratings?"
- I can answer these in a phone call, if you want to chat for a bit. I would LOVE to set up time for an info interview!

Reporting to WHO? I'm engaged in my therapy now. If you want to help new users just point them to this site.

"Who is we"? - we are a mobile design and development agency - Are you no longer related to: http://www.giddyapps.com

Without being able to link to the data of a Data capable Cpap machine, I haven't a clue how it would "help". Apple Health is supposed to have the ability via other apps to track sleep health, but is questionable at best that it can track anything when you are using a Cpap. And without actual data from the machine being used I can't see how helpful that would be.

There are already dedicated systems to do this from companies with long histories of dealing with Sleep Apnea.

As for your app integrating to Apple Health itself, ??? what for? Are you going to link to the data of the Cpap machine? Does it do that now?

You have a history of asking people about things so you can create an app. You have even offered incentives in the past for such info.

You really should come up with another one of your typeform.com questionnaires so you can give $25 amazon gift cards for people to answer your questions.

within the last 6 months... you have asking people about:
Lottery Gaming App
Gaming (as in playing games) in general App
Football Game App
Mobile Bike app
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM
TNET Sleep Resource Pages - CPAP Machine Database
Put your equip in your Signature - SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-1

OkyDoky, reporting would be for you, the end user. We're researching what users would like to see reported to them.

Krelvin, correct, I no longer work for Giddyapps. Correct; research incentives will vary depending on my client. And yes, that's a good question - what is the value of linking with Apple Health? It seems potentially only start/ stop of sleep cycles.
