I'm not sure 100% what's going through my mind at night but i just keep waking up at around 5AM and taking the mask off. I hope i get used to it because i dont think the data it's collecting is very useful if i keep taking it off.

Last night was a bit better.... probably slept 4-5 hours with the mask on until i woke up and took it off, i guess it takes a bit of discipline which i clearly lack right now.

do try very hard to tell yourself to put the mask back on before you close your eyes again

getting into the habit of taking the mask off is a hard one to get back out of... like most habits

You're in good hands with Pugsy.
Is there a jingle to go with that statement?

Sounds quite familiar - I do exactly the same thing. Every so often I'll wake up in the middle of the night, completely convinced it's time to get up, and take the mask off. (And then promptly go back to sleep. Nope, I don't get it either.) I'll usually wake up some amount of time later and realize I'm sleeping without the mask and put it back on. Looking back at my data, that happened most nights for about the first two weeks and has tapered off since. (Still happened two nights in a row last week, though - one night there's about a 20-minute gap, and the following night there's about a two-hour gap.) From what I've read, it's a pretty common thing.

I did a couple of things which have helped reduce that - #1 was to unleash my fiance. She's a pretty light sleeper, and anytime she notices me messing with the mask or the machine in the middle of the night she'll yell at me. A couple of times I've actually been trying to fix something, but a couple of times she's caught me taking it off. #2 was that I put a small hard-plastic container over top of the on/off button. It's easily moved, but it's an extra step I have to go through to get to that button. I've bounced my hand off of it going for the button and caught myself. I've also been sleepy-clumsy in the middle of the night and sent it bouncing (loudly) across the floor, which brought us back to solution #1. You can also turn on the mask alarm on the machine, but that only works if the mask is off of you for a time while the machine is still on, and I've found that the air rushing through the mask is plenty loud enough to wake me up.

I think you're taking that thought from the wrong direction. The important thing is for your therapy to be as effective as possible. The data is just there to support your therapy. Helping you to keep the mask on your face is probably more important right now than really digging into your graphs, but having that data is always more useful than not having it, no matter how long you're able to keep the mask on your face. Focus on sleeping better first. The data will still be there.

Finally had my first full nights sleep with the mask on last night.

I woke up maybe 2-3 times but didn't take the mask on, I'd call that a success!

edit: has anyone had or has a solution for the nasal pillow resting on your top lip a bit too heavily??

Going to post the last 2 days reports to see if theres any insight that can be given, im excited!

You can try tightening the strap at the top of your head a bit... not sure how much success you'll have but it's worth a shot. Ultimately that's probably just a sensation you're going to have to get used to. Something you could try though:

http://www.padacheek.com/PACSwiftII_Barrel_cozy.html

The barrel cozy for the Swift FX fits the Nuance just fine. The holes need widening a bit, but that's no big deal with a good pair of scissors. I picked one of these up (at Pugsy's recommendation) to help with rainout, but I also noticed that the material of the barrel cozy was much more pleasant resting on my lip than the plastic of the mask. Doesn't change the weight, of course, but it might be worth a try.
