Re: looking to buy battery
The Transcend needs 14 - 18 VDC, the DeVilbiss needs 12 VDC, right?
Some considerations to your question, unfortunately no solution:
If you want to travel by plane and use lithium batteries you should not exceed 100 Wh.
- For the DeVilbiss would the upper limit (travel by plane) at about 8 Ah, it should be enough for one or two nights,
- For the Transcend at 18 V the upper limit would be at about 5.5 Ah.
A lead battery of 12 V and 7.2 Ah would have a weight of about 4.3 pounds! You should find a lithium polymer battery 12 V 8 Ah around 20 oz.
For almost all other purposes you can use a variety of chemistry and capacity of batteries.
I don't know how tolerant these machines are, if you could use a 14 V battery (if you get one) for both. I would be extremly careful trying it! Maybe you find a transformer from 12 V to 18 V. Many notebooks use that Voltage.

I have a Transcend EZEX and the battery is a 14.4 V Lith-ion battery. Fully charged the Transcend battery voltage level is 16.8 V, might not be good on a 12 V device. My main CPAP machine is a PRS1 CPAP and I use a 12 V 22ah SLA battery for backup. I also have the Transcend Mobile adapter, which allows me to run my Transcend machine on a 12 V source. The Transcend can run up to 19 V, but the limit for my PRS1 is under 15 V. A possible option is to get a 12 V (11.1 V) Lith-ion battery pack for your 12 V machine and a Transcend Mobile adapter so you can run your Transcend using the same 12 V battery as well.

Re: looking to buy battery
Then again - it might not work.
It is not working for my ResMed Escape II (S8). I was only able to get 4 hours out of it at 9 pressure.
I'm still researching. I'll post results.
