Re: Need Help Reading SleepyHead Data
I have seen the link. Thanks. But if you read my post, Mike, I stated I'm not feeling well, so I am seeking a shortcut.

Need Help Reading SleepyHead Data
Hi again, I really need some help understanding some of the SleepyHead data posted below. My nightly AHI has been inconsistent, but lately it hovers around 5 or more. I'm awake so much of the night and have to keep stopping and starting the therapy. The problem is that I need to know if it is >5 per...

Re: Sludge: Help Needed, Please!
Sludge, Thank you! I noticed the document comes from the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine--that is where I pulled all my studies from (to no avail because she has no interest in them). I am very glad to have this, but am afraid that she will turn her head away from it as she does with anything I p...

Re: Sludge: Help Needed, Please!
Mea culpa! I am officially out of hiding! The withholding of information wasn't due to secrecy, but rather brevity. I am not feeling well and decided to bypass the profile section when I signed up. I know some of the members here from the old apnea forum where I told my original story. I don't "take...

Re: Sludge: Help Needed, Please!
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed your time away. I went to see her yesterday and am just so confused. She wouldn't even look at the study data I printed out from the Journal of Clinical Sleep Med; she dismissed it by stating that I should be careful going online because there's a lot of "crap" out there....

Sludge: Help Needed, Please!
Hello again Sludge, I finally got SleepyHead installed and have several weeks of data listed. I am posting my screenshot overview here. I have an appointment with my sleep doctor tomorrow and plan to pick up my titration report; so far I've only gotten the diagnostic study. My plan is to ask her to ...

Re: SleepyHead Success!
We picked up a card reader at Walmart yesterday and SleepyHead data is finally loaded onto the computer! Very glad about that. The CPAP statistics are for the last 24 days (that's how long I've had the full data machine). I could really use some help figuring these numbers out. Please let me know i...

Re: SleepyHead Success!
I checked out all my graphs and data on SleepyHead but, as I said, I have only a very general idea of what I'm looking at. Please, someone, help me decipher this mess so that I know what I'm saying to the sleep doctor on Friday. I'm so tired and feel like I'm never going to get the correct therapy I...

Re: SleepyHead Success!
Try this link. It has a lot information about SH. http://sleepyhead.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Beginners_Guide_To_SleepyHead One last point; If you are running Win8.whatever, be sure to write-protect the SD prior to connecting to the computer. On the off chance you are running W8, here is a sit...

Re: Can drugs help reduce OSA?
You are right about the morphine dosage, sorry, I've been on opiods so long that I tend to forget that the amounts I need are higher than what one would "normally" take for pain relief. I also take Klonopin before bed most nights...like Xanax, it's a benzo (not great, I know), but it does help me to...

Re: Can drugs help reduce OSA?
This is the first thread that I've contributed to that hasn't been started by me, and it is one that I feel I may be able to shed some light on as a person who is opioid dependent. I have been on morphine therapy for failed back surgery syndrome since 2000, and my dosage is continual via an implante...

Re: Sleep Study Results Obtained
Susan, can you get SleepyHead up and running and show us those five nights of data? I'd sure like to see what your sleep doctor was looking at when she decided that straight CPAP was still the way to go -- and at an even higher pressure. We are still waiting for the card reader to arrive; my husban...
