Jeff why is your pressure only at 7? Was this unusual night? From the looks of this data 7 is not enough pressure. Your snoring!
Is there a reason that you not on adjustable range?

Who here in NE Ohio is treating you?

My doctor is Mark Bej.

It's a "starter" pressure which has been working well enough. I've been on CPAP just barely a month now. My initial sleep study gave the doc enough data to diagnose me (severe apnea, AHI 53) but I slept so badly there was no way I could be titrated, so I got the machine at a flat 7cm pressure to start with. I have an appointment with the doctor on Tuesday to review everything so far, and I'll be making sure to come out of that with an updated pressure (I'll be pushing for an APAP range).

That big cluster was not at all typical - I haven't seen anything like that on my graphs before. The snoring has been every night since I started. (Which will be part of the discussion Tuesday for sure.)

Glad to read that this is not a typical night for you. I was thinking that the doctor is torturing you.

The sooner you get on the adjusted pressures then the sooner you can figure out the optimized pressure for you.

I wish you well...

Ok, so this morning right before taking the mask off I tried this for a few minutes to see what it would do... In this graph I was definitely awake and mouth-breathing from about 8:24 on. Looks almost exactly the same to me... couple of OAs a minute, mostly flat flow rate with a couple of little spikes here and there, RR dropping pretty much to zero, and completely flat leak line. This right here is why I'm not so sure that first graph is actually a massive apnea...

I would really encourage you to get your doctor to put you in APAP mode. My original prescribed pressures were 7-20, and when I looked at my data the pressure would only stay at 7cm as long as I was awake, and then would instantly zoom up and NEVER went below 11.5 at any time while I was asleep. There is lots of sophisticated research and engineering in an APAP so that it raises and lowers pressures according to what it thinks you need. Yes, sometimes people have problems with the pressures that the machine wants, but a lot of us don't, and just have pressures going up and down preventing events all night while we sleep well. The only way you can tell what the machine algorithm wants to do for you is to set a range, let it work, and see what happens.
