Re: That Darn Cat

I'm sure you think that was hilarious, but... try sleeping (tummy-wise, tho' decades before OSA/Cpap) x 17 yrs with a cat on your back every single night (at some point) my ex was just thrilled, but the cat prevailed. I guess she thought I was her territory (had her prior to marriage) and wasn't go...

Re: FFM ? not wide enough - bottom axis triangle

I've been complaining about that for four years... still no joy! The ResMed F10 large is about the widest I've personally found and just passes muster for me, but not by much. BTW, my face and mouth are pretty average, I'd even say that my mouth is a bit on the small side. Oh well, there are some cu...

Re: That Darn Cat

When I told my wife about the cat sleeping on the OP's chest and purring, my wife said somebody should invent a soft fluffy object about the size and weight of a cat that people could put on their chest. Naturally it would have a sound generator in it that would simulate purring... patent it, of cou...

Re: Ear popping/discomfort

Once you get your ear pain sorted out and are stabilized, try these Mack's Silicone earplugs to prevent ear popping and pressure. They work for my similar surfer's ear problems etc : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003LZQGN6/ref=pd_sim_121_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=KKP3SJTVB2Q5VH920MQD&th=1 I can use one ...

Re: Cpap Beginner: My first night -- 1 Hour

I have a cat that looks just like yours!!! With my FX nasal pillows I used to sometimes get the air bubble in my throat and also chipmunk cheeks from time to time. Some folks here had luck with 'training' their tongue to stay glued to the top of their palate... sadly, I never really managed to do th...

Re: That Darn Cat

I had a cat pee/spray right next to my CPAP once and it took awhile to get the odors out. Now the bedroom is a no-fly zone for our cats. I hope your machine is okay too.

Re: Should Trump Drop Out

I read the NY Time's David Brook's piece linked above about pitying Trump and it also made me sad. Right now I'm not at a place where I can forgive him for wrecking the Republican party and potentially our delicate tight-rope political system. Case in point, Trump mentioning/suggesting that the 2nd ...

Re: What are symptoms of a blocked exhaust port?

I agree with most of the replies... it'd be hard to block the exhale ports to the point of problems, especially for that mask. That said, adjust your pillow, sleep position and other factors to minimize blocking the ports. Here's something I do every night to keep my mask off the pillows etc: http:/...

Re: Should Trump Drop Out

Uber right-wing radio talkshow host Alex Jones goes off on Hillary today about how Hillary's staff thinks she is demon possessed (it's mostly about how her face looks). He also discusses how he's seen Obama's face covered with houseflies in a room full of people who haven't got a single fly on them....

Re: Waking up with nightmares in cpap

Adapting to CPAP is a big body/brain change. Maybe a pressure change like palerider suggested is a good idea. Adaptations of this CPAP experience can often generate nightmares, depression, physical symptoms plus other subtle reactions. Hopefully this will all iron out after a week or two and you wil...

Interesting explanation of the mass stupidity occurring recently........http://addictinginfo.org/2016/10/02/are-trump-supporters-too-dumb-to-know-theyre-dumb-science-says-probably/ People who are too dumb to know they are dumb. I LOVE IT... CASE IN POINT. From the article above: Take the case of Mc...

Re: Should Trump Drop Out

I'm very glad Trump managed to not overwhelm Clinton or implode into a gibbering mess. It's all about long games. He did somewhat better than I expected in the second debate. However, I must remind everyone that Clinton's plan is to allow Trump 'a death of a thousand cuts' while not encouraging him ...

Oh,yeah he also likes little girls too. http://lawnewz.com/high-profile/federal-judge-orders-hearing-in-donald-trump-rape-lawsuit-case/ I've been following the court filings of this case for a year and I've just got to say I'm surprised the rape victim (then 13) is still alive, NTM the two witnesse...
