HELP! Best CPAP providers for Los Angeles?

HELP!

I'm having the worst luck between my sleep study place and finding a company that provides CPAP machines. I have Blue Shield of southern California and the ONLY place they cover is Apria Healthcare but their company is worthless with getting back to me. in the course of one week I've been on the phone with them 12 times. I have another early morning call to make before I can go into work and I'd rather drop them and go somewhere else but I cant find another company. Can anyone please please recommend a place that provides these machines where I can just go in person and sort everything out? Apria is useless. PLEASE help. My apnea is severe and I'm not getting any sleep. Combine that with all the stress over the last 2 months alone in trying to get one of these machines and I'm about to have a mental breakdown or a heart attack or both. Please someone help.

Try Oxy Durable Medical Equipment, in the SF Valley. They are not exactly pro-active but they seem to get the job done.
They took Blue Shield PPO insurance last year, hopefully that has not changed. 877 456 7777

Wow another Crapria saga! You have to make a choice to either use your insurance or let your insurance use you. What kind of deductibles and copay are in your policy. If the combined cost of deductible and copay is over $700, just get a prescription from your doctor, and get your own machine from CPAP.com or another quality online seller. Your first stop should be to call BCBS and get a list of DME equipment sellers in your area. I know you have many other choices as BCBS does not put themselves in a position of having a single source provider for anything.

What is your prescription? If you don't have it get it.
Provided your prescription is not BiPAP you should try to get an Auto CPAP. Avoiding the initial rental period and over-price from Apria, you will save a lot of money just learning here and then getting what you need in consultation with your physician. First step is call BCBS at the 800 number on your card and get the real list of equipment suppliers. Find out what your deductible and copays are. Come back and fill in some details.

Changing the subject a bit, do you know not all CPAP machines are equal? Make sure you get one of the good ones. Ask here if you don't know.

What the hell is wrong with Apria that they can't fill a prescription for a CPAP machine?

Classic Sleep care is there. I'm new, but they have done everything right for me.

I just switched to Classic Sleep Care. I have to say I was impressed with them. They had a respiratory therapist call me and talk about supplies and got them sent right out to me. Everyone I have spoken with had been polite and helpful. I would definitely give them a try especially since they're so close.

I see you have BCBS insurance.

Classic sleep care is out of network for my BCBS a of Texas. They discounted the services or something. BCBS Pays100%, But only in network. Classic has discounted the rate or something, and I have zero out of pocket costs.

They he a modem on the machine and check data. They will also call and check on you. If you do something wrong, they will send a text via the machine. Again, they are great.

They have RT's all over the country. They will send someone to setup machine and give instruction. They can also come back if you need help later. Again, no cost to me.

Now if the O2 people were this good.....

Good luck.
