HDM announces new Z1 machine

Post by latinlover » Mon Dec 15, 2014 12:39 pm

It is ridiculous that this ripoff company is announcing a new machine about a year later than they produced the first machine. They promised great upgrades for the machine that they produced and charged us over $1000. They promised a lot and delivered nothing. Instead of creating a new machine and make big money on new innocent clients, they should have made it an upgrade to the existing machine. It is very clear that like me, they have lots of dissatisfied customers who complain the they were outright lied to. I would recommend anyone interested in a machine not to deal with this company. If you follow the threads here and or in any forum, you will pick up quickly that is not worth dealing with this company

I could not possibly agree with you more!!! Lousy machine, total ripoff..........I was really shocked to see them trying to pedal a new Auto machine when they led customers to believe it would be a software upgrade to the first machine...............something not right with this company!

Is there a chance you can tell us what HDM does and what kind of machine they offer.
That way those of us who don't know what you're talking about can also stay away from the rip off company.

I see the company is using images of Mt. Everest on its website, probably to imply (and mislead) people
into associating their POS with the famous, but discontinued Everest travel cpap machines.
Remember them? Big boots to fill, small wonder their effort is only to misappropriate the fame.

HDM produced a very small cpap machine last year mainly for people that travel a lot and want a small machine for that purpose. Several peeps on here got the machine including me and had very bad experiences not only with the machine, but also the company and it's customer service. At the time I bought my machine they very clearly advertised that it was software upgradable and implied that an Auto algorithm was in the works that we could download and install in the machine. There have indeed been several software updates, one that added a third exhale relief algorithm, but no Auto ability. Now they have just proudly announced an entirely new machine that is an APAP, so if you bought the first machine you're S.O.L.

Their machines compete directly with the Transcend machines.......also very small device for travel, I have used both, and the Transcend blows the Z1 away in terms of performance. I have been using CPAP/APAP for ten years now, and used lots of different machines, I have never used a machine that was harder to breath on than the HDM Z1, I tried every setting on the device, every pressure and no luck.........it's like the machine fights you on every breath, both inhale and exhale. I finally gave up on the device and went back to the Transcend for my motorcycle trips.......very little room to pack a large machine. My Z1 is basically a very expensive door stop now...........I held onto it hoping that when the Auto algorithm came along that it might improve...........now that is not going to happen.

They say on their web site that the Z1 was a hot seller............maybe a lot of customers like me that were dumb enough to buy one............I am actually surprised they are still in business. They are that bad!!

To me as a customer, I feel the worst by the promises and outright lies of Steve Moore. I purchased the machine ,tried it for a couple of days, realized very quickly that although very small (without the battery shell, which defeats purpose, as it is quite big with the shell), the machine was loud, and it was very difficult breathing with the machine. It almost felt as if the machine was fighting with me on every breath.
I spoke to mr Moore and he gave me a couple of suggestions to improve the breathing. I followed them, none of them worked. mr Moore asked me to keep machine a little longer and try it a bit more. He said not to worry as he would refund me the purchase money if I would continue to be dissatisfied. He asked me to bear a little longer. He promised me that they would come up with great changes for the machine, as autoset, APAP, auto start and so on. He said that it would be shortly on the way. He also assured me that it was a software change that we would get for free. He promised lots of new and exciting changes. The upgrades never came. I called and said that I had enough waiting for promises that were never kept. I asked him to honor his word and that he would give me a refund. At this point he refuse to do so and got insulting and rude. What a negative experience! I said to myself this fellow can't be serious about running a company expecting growth and client loyalty acting this way!

I had a co-worker who, along with her husband, made space in the trailer to one of their Harleys
for their S9's. Nothing like comfort. I suspect they stayed in motels.
