trouble with humidifier

Post by nanamarcia » Tue Nov 25, 2014 10:20 pm

First, thank you to all of you! I've learned so much from reading all the advice and information here. I've been using cpap for a few months, and the most important advice I got here was to hang in there. I finally have a nasal pillow mask that I can sleep with - Swift fx. I have a system one respironics machine with heated humidifier. I bought a heated tube and kit to allow the humidifier to heat the tube since I was getting water drops in my mask - I keep my home cold at night. It worked great for 3 days. Tonight the setting is on "off" for the heated tube and it is locked. I went into the provider menu, but I can't figure out how to unlock it. I keep doing the same thing over and over - pushing the button - which I can swear worked to change settings last time - but it isn't working. I do have the heated tube connected while I'm doing this. Can anyone help me, please? Thank you!

Where are you seeing the "lock" icon at in the clinical set up menu?
And what are you trying to change the setting from and to?
The only lock icon I remember seeing with the heated hose connected was just for the 15 mm lock saying the heated hose was attached. never had anything else get locked up so I don't know what you have done or what you are looking at. Near as I can tall the lock that shows on the menu scree is just for that heated hose.

Give me a little more information and I will play with my 60 series machine to see if I can match what you do and see what happens.

Thank you, Pugsy, for your offer of help. I must have done something temporary to the machine. The heated tube has been working fine. Obviously a senior moment! Which I will try not to repeat!
