Hello all
In last 8 months I had massive weight loss, from 136 to 91kg.
What I noticed on my CPAP device, pressure is not jumping often more then ramp-start (4.0), sometimes I can see 6 when woke up in the night.
AHI is 4.0 for last 7 and 30 days.
I didn't saw card content, but I'm curios why pressure is so low (year ago I saw 8-10 very often), is it something wrong with device ? Is AHI 4.0 good enough to not worry about ?

Re: Lost weigh and changes on CPAP device
You may just not have apnea any more! But please please do not assume it, wait and see if your weight stabilizes, and keep checking your #'s plus use an oximeter if you have one and if things still look that good in a while, arrange for a new sleep study. Crossing fingers for you!

Congratulations are in order, even if you still need cpap.
Hardly anything enhances health better than losing unneeded weight!

Re: Lost weigh and changes on CPAP device
Hi,
I saw a big decrease in pressure after I Iost weight. I was on a high pressure of 21, but now run in the 10 to 13 range. My auto machine often starts down around 7, but when I do have a breathing issue, it doesn't ramp up quickly enough to stop the events. As a result, I set the lower pressure limit to 10. That way, it doesn't have to ramp up that much when I start to have events. I suspect you are seeing something similar, and I suspect that you might see a lower AHI if you bumped up the lower pressure limit. What is important is to see what pressure your machine ramps up to when you have events, and then use that as a baseline for the lower pressure number (or just below that).
