I'm Done. Cannot do this.
Re: I'm Done. Cannot do this.
It's only been a few nights but the saline nasal spray seems to help a bit with the congestion. AHI was .11 last night, but I was exhausted today. All part of the adjusting I suppose!

Re: I'm Done. Cannot do this.
I wondered exactly the same when that was said BUT if his AHI is down to 2, would that not mean that he wasn't leaking???? And that the mask must work after all?I noticed last night that while on my back I was snoring
One thing I can tell you is that I was taking my mask off every night 90 mins in due to a stuffy nose and the LAST thing I wanted to have to do was use a nasal rinse and I fought that idea for some time.
The first night i gave in and tried it, I slept all night. That was 2 weeks ago and I have not had a stuffed nose at night since

Re: I'm Done. Cannot do this.
The mask is working. I don't doubt that it works really well, when it's not blowing air in my eyes (I can say for sure that is leaking) or suctioning to the end of my nose. I know it works, I know it can work, but I also know that these issues that are frustrating me can lead to failure. Venting and finding solutions seemed like the best optionShelaghDB wrote:I wondered exactly the same when that was said BUT if his AHI is down to 2, would that not mean that he wasn't leaking???? I haven't tried the sinus rinse yet, but lots of saline spray seems to help with congestion.

Re: I'm Done. Cannot do this.
Simple question - is your nasal mask pressing on the bridge of your nose and causing congestion? Seems like big tall nosed folks like me have that issue with nasal and FFMs and end up with pillows (P10 in my case). Maybe it applies to you to?
If you're going to spend you own money cpap.com has both P10 and F10 (best FFM imho) with free return insurance. Probably the cheapest way of doing the "type" test but doubt you'll get any reimbursement as they are out of almost every network. I have BCBS TX and they are in Houston and I'm still not covered! But their prices are great. It'll cost you about $150 to try both and keep one. I spent about $400 to get to my right mask. Well worth it.
You have come a long way and you're closing in on the right options. Took me almost a month to crack the mask thing, and even now I' struggle as we enter heating season...
