question

Post by christie_m_s » Mon Nov 24, 2014 11:38 pm

My friend had an at home sleep study, they have kids and no one to watch them. So the at gome sleep study showed he has mild apnea and signifigant oxygen desatuaration. He has no insurance, so the sleep study cost a lot. So the dr wanted gim to have an over night titration study, but again thats not possible. So is an auto or apap a good idea. I told hom i would try to find one without a prescription if it would help. His kids need him.

there's a guy on the forum here who's hobby is finding good deals on used cpaps on craigslist. (grayghost)

some insurance companies do the home test then a auto cpap to handle the titration duties... so it's a perfectly valid method for the majority of apnea sufferers.

Hi yes that is my hobby ... where are you located ? and I will see what i can find near you .

Do you have a copy of the sleep study or prescription that show what kind of machine he needs
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

I have been doing the same with my local Craigslist and have a brand new in box zero hour PRS1 560P auto with humidifier that I can offer for $450 plus shipping. It comes with a new sealed Resmed Mirage FX mask as well as hose, filter, SD card, manuals and bag.

Or, if a humidifier is not needed I have another PRS1 560P Auto (no humidifier) with .2 hours on it. It comes with hose, filter, SD card, and bag with a choice of opened masks (Eson, Wisp or Gel Cushion) for $325 plus shipping.

Let me know if you are interested in either and I can post pictures for you. Or if you register as a member you can PM me.

Thanks for be a good friend to that family, it sounds like they need you too.

Greyhost, I can't pm for some reason, I live in northern Indiana. And any idea where a full mask is cheaper?

I found you two units ... a brand new PR560hs for $230.00 puls shiping .
and a four month old PR 760 for $275 inc. shipping .
ether one would work for you friend as a auto titration unit.
I have also sent a PM to you
