Air Sense 10 hose compatible to S9?

Post by Stilatos » Tue Nov 25, 2014 6:39 am

i noticed the air sense hose has a right angle attachment to the machine. Is this hose compatible to the resmed s9? it would be a huge convenience if yes.

I don't believe so. I think the design was changed and therefore the 10 only conforms to the 10 and the s9 to the s9.

im mostly interested in getting that right angle on the hose it would make things better for me. not so concerned if the heated hose works but if hte plain one with the right angle on the new airsense fits the s9

to the best of my knowledge, there is no right angled plain hose. but you can get plain hose elbows

Nope, will not work. Need NON-heated to swap.

The right angle is on the machine. No hose has a built in right angle. You can purchase a right angle adapter that will fit a machine to give your hose a angle instead of a straight port out.

I have both machines. The right angle is indeed on the hose. And it can be swiveled.
Since the electrical connections are different, the heated hoses are not interchangeable.
Luckily, the plain hoses are.

Absolutely wrong! The only reason my DME knew before they arrived was because I told them.
If you check the product images on cpap.com, you will see the elbow.
Someone recently posted an image of his oxygen port hack.
What they don't tell you is the swivel is not loosey-goosey, but maneuverable enough
so you can choose which way the hose goes when it leaves the blower.

You are all #$@#ing wrong. Neither the machine nor the hose has a 90-degree turn!

According to ResMed, there is a "new, 360-degree, swivel connector". https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... idair.html

Any more questions children?

Actually quite true. -- in three dimensions all is possible.
In one plane, the hose has a 90 degree angle.
In another plane, the connection will allow the elbow to rotate a full 360 degrees,
Not freely, though, but fairly easy to maneuver whichever way looks most useful.
A ball connection would have been awesome, --wonder who will figure that out.
