Re: Batttery pack ? for dummies, like me
This thread has been very informative to me. I need some sort of battery back up and either the Sears or 35 AH sounds pretty darn good (sleepyhead term) to me! I like all the suggestions equally and now I have to choose. 35 does sounds pretty good for $150. Can't beat that with a stick! Well....hehe...

Yep, working fine for me too. I'm not retiring my iMac.

Re: How often should I change my mask?
There's a world of difference between what you CAN do based on your insurance and what you SHOULD do. Most pillows follow recommended 30 day cycles and headgear follow 90 day cycle,s I think. That's what my insurance pays for a therefore what I take. I use at about half that rate so I'm building up...

Re: How often should I change my mask?
I have been wondering this very same thing myself. I have 2 extra cushions for my F&P Eson and in the past I might just replace the whole mask after about 6 - 12 months depending on how stretched it is but that was with my previous Comfort Gel Original. I have found I'm feeling better and even getti...

I know I'm not conducting scientific studies or anything. Simply noting changes when everything else is t...

Re: F&P Eson vs. Comfort Gel Original
I guess no one else has ever experienced a change in AHI based on mask alone. Or everyone is out for the holiday! And after going back to my F&P Eson, my AHI went back down to 2.65 and then 0.90 last night. I'm sold! I just can't get numbers like that with the Comfort Gel Original. They're only abou...

F&P Eson vs. Comfort Gel Original
I have been using my new machine for about a month. I have never noticed my AHI's going as low as they have this month before. I was always in the 5 - 10 range with just one dip below 5 during a 10 day stretch before starting my latest machine. I've been enjoying 0.15 AHI up to 4.4 AHI all month lon...

Re: Aerophagia...CPAP vs. BiPAP
I'm still suffering with aerophagia and I'm wondering about the benefit of using a PRS1 760P to avoid the bloating. I've read that biflex/bipap can help with those issues, true? I just switch to the machine you're talking about and I still have it. My Sleep Doctor recommended Gas X or equivalent. I...

Re: What do you do when you have to be in the hospital
Last couple visits, the hospital provided a bilevel cpap for me to use along with a ff mask. Set it up and monitored it while I was using it. In visits before then, I had my wife bring my own machine into the room once I got one. Never had a problem and they always provided distilled water to use a...

Re: What do you do when you have to be in the hospital
Planning surgery in the next month and will be in the hospital several nights. Can you bring your machine or do you have to use theirs? I use nasal pillows and can't tolerate a mask. Any pointers? Thanks! I took my CPAP with me. They have CPAP's also but they're not going to be anything near what y...

Re: OSA, therapy and jail
That's an excellent question since many of us live in the U.S., which has the largest prison population in the world, and the second-highest per-capita incarceration rate, behind Seychelles (which has a total prison population of 786 out of a population of 90,024). In 2012, it was 707 adults incarce...

Re: "Vibratory Snore Event" Question?
NVM I think I figured it out myself.
The Vibratory Snore Index is the total number of vibratory snoring events per night divided by the hours of use.

Re: "Vibratory Snore Event" Question?
There is Vibratory Snore and there is Vibratory Snore (VS2). I often see a 0 next to the first one but much higher numbers on the 2nd option. What is the difference?

Re: Nasal Mask Options
I have one nights opinion on the F&P Eson. Loved how my AHI dropped from a 1.6 average to 0.35 ! Leaks were lower too. I had been using a Swift FX because I used nasal pillow on my first stint with a CPAP years ago. They used the Eson for my titration so I got one and tried it last night. I've been...
