Please help with S9 Auto-CPAP settings

Post by Daniel N » Sun Nov 23, 2014 2:12 pm

I just bought a new S9 auto-cpap machine and am not used with the settings.
My Info menu currently only shows the HOURS information. I would like to see the AHI and MASK FIT information too but don't know how to make that happen.
I found in the user guide this paragraph:
“S9 Essentials is designed to make device interaction and menu navigation easier for you. If enabled by the clinician, S9 Essentials disables the info and Setup functionality so that you can simply start and stop therapy and adjust ramp, humidification and Climate Control”.

What is the meaning of "if enabled by the clinician"? Does it mean that some settings are not available to me? This is my personal machine and I would like to be able to use any setting I consider useful.

Please let me know how to get access to the AHI and MASK FIT information.

Thank you.

S9 clinical manual can be found here
http://www.apneuvereniging.nl/forum/pdf ... manual.pdf
The term "essentials" is not what I would expect to see in a S9 manual but more of what I would expect to see with the new ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet but if you do have the S9...the manual above will explain how to get to the clinical set up menu where you can change the settings to allow you to see the onscreen data.
With the S9...you look for Sleep Quality setting and change it from "usage" to "ON". Then you will be able to see more than hours of use on the LCD screen. The default from factor is for "usage" which is hours of use only. To change it to "On" you do have to go into the ultra secret clinician setup menu to make the changes but it isn't hard to do.

If you have one of the new AirSense machines you can go here and request the clinical manual for that model machine
http://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-p ... tup-manual
It explains how to get to the setup menu area.

If you do have the S9 there is also this video that will show you some of these functions. I would still get and read the pdf manual though. It explains the features in more detail.
