As result of exercising and diet, I've lost 80+ lbs, YAY!!
During this process, I've been able to slowly adjust my bi-pap pressure downward as I got healthier & my AHI is ALWAYS under 1.0 & I feel great & sleep is awesome.
The bi-pap settings have gone from the original prescribed setting of 21 / 15 to my current setting of 13.5 / 9.0.
I'm beginning to wonder if I ought to try straight CPAP with a setting around 11 versus using Bi-pap.
FWIW --- Every time I tried Auto, it was a failure, so that's NOT an option to consider for me
I'm thinking a CPAP setting of 11 with a little EPR to see what happens.
thoughts?

What pressure support are you using ? Even tho my pressure is now much less than I was prescribed I still need the ps of 4. I tried dropping it down to 3 which is what regular cpaps offer, it doesn't work for me.

CPAP fixed using EPR essentially gives you a bilevel situation with the max difference between inhale and exhale of 3 cm depending on brand.
So it is technically still bilevel.
Anytime anyone uses any form of exhale relief they are essentially creating a bilevel pressure situation.
Two different pressures.....one for inhale and a different for exhale.
