Frequent awakenings
I'm 74 years old. Nine years ago I was diagnosed at a sleep lab as having idiopathic central sleep apnea. The first two years, I had 4 different sleep labs along with 3 different sleep therapists, trying to determine good pressure settings for the ASV Bipap machine I was using. I'm on my 2nd ASV bip...

blocking out noises
I'm 73 years of age, have idiopathic central sleep apnea and have been using an ASV BiPap with a full face mask for the past 8 years. Over the years, I've written to the forum on several problem situations I've encountered. This forum is great. I now have another problem and I'm hoping someone on th...

Re: pattern of breathing
Hi folks,
I have, just yesterday, downloaded Oscar. I wrote the forum on ApneaBoard and became aware that it has replaced Sleepyhead.
I really appreciate the replies earlier.
Thank you again, Dreamless’ wife

Re: pattern of breathing
Ah, thank goodness it made it through this time. :) Here is one of the bad nights. I downloaded his card today and this past week he had a pretty bad night although Sleepyhead didn't record the pressures after about 3:15 am. It just showed the flow after that. I'm assuming its a bug in the program, ...

pattern of breathing
I tried to post this 2 weeks ago. I don't know why I'm not seeing this so I will try again. If anyone answers this post and wants screenshots, then I will post them. I am writing about my husbands' sleepyhead data. There is an odd ebb and flow type of pattern that is becoming a normal, almost every ...

Re: Understanding Flow Rate (ASV)
Flappy, Thanks so much for your reply. I'm looking forward to being able to post some of those nightly graphs. I'm currently looking into getting a card reader so quick as that happens... I've been to four neurologists and I just know that someone out there is going to be able to help me cause the n...

Re: Understanding Flow Rate (ASV)
Flappy, Do you have insomnia as well as frequent awakenings ? And CSA ? I have Idiopathic CSA and was diagnosed 2 1/2 years ago. I am using a Respironics Bipap w/ auto SV Advanced machine. I'm still struggling to get proper sleep. One problem that I have is that if and when I do get to sleep, I wake...

Pugsy,
Thank you so much for your reply. I just found it - apparently I didn't do something right so I would receive a notification on a reply. Hmmm
Have a good holiday.

Re: Software Needed
Pugsy, I have a question for you about Encore Basic vs. Encore Viewer. I'm using a Respironics Bipap Auto SV Advanced machine with Smart Card and have downloaded the Encore Basic program. I still need to get a card reader and discovered that Infineer makes the ONLY reader that will work with the Enc...

Re: BIPAP ASV ... Backup Rate?
I have been on my machine, which is a Respironics Bipap with Auto SV advanced machine for 2 1/2 years. I have had tremendous difficulties dealing with it. I had no help, from the DME provider or the sleep neurologist who prescribed it, in learning how to 'work' with it. I was diagnosed with Central ...
