Temperature humidifier
Johan - is there a reason why you simply can't experiment on your own with various settings in various weather, etc. and see what works best for you? You'll never know that by using other people's reports. I did experiment. Since the start of CPAP therapy one year ago my sleepquality is not that go...

Temperature humidifier
Only if people were e.g. cars - and each one's components were exactly alike and in all climates. I understand we are not identical. That's why we have statistics were we can conclude a median etc. Perhaps people who read this can mention their humidifier temperature and the surrounding bedroom tem...

Re: Temperature humidifier
I can imagine temperature should be within a specific range where research perhaps has concluded a perfect inspiratory temperature?

Temperature humidifier
hi, Is there a perfect temperature for the humidifier or is this a personal preference and depending on eg the environmental temperature (summer/winter). I can imagine there are some statistics for this? At the moment I have my Resmed S9 H5i climatelinetube set at 24c / 75F. Environmental temperatur...

AHI low at all pressures - Eye issues and still tired
My AHI doesn't seem to be affected by the pressure settings either. I'm on the lowest setting the machine will work with and it seems I'm sleeping better and longer. And no side effects? Great for you. 5 cm made me very tired. I'm currently lowering my pressure (last night the devil's pressure 6 - ...

Re: AHI low at all pressures - Eye issues and still tired
Thanks for your reply. I tried fixed pressure in the past, but after a few days always 'missed' something. I'll give it another try, you never know[emoji4]. Also thanks for the link. I'm a little puzzeld why not more CPAP patients have the dry eyes issues. For me the issues started when starting CPAP.

AHI low at all pressures - Eye issues and still tired
Stopped the BI-LEVEL therapy. It wasn't the auto version but the Resmed S, so not ideal, at least not for me. Now trying again with the S9 autoset. Trying to have pressure low so the impact of blowing air is a low as possible and hopefully thereby preventing wakening up 5 times a night. Experiencing...

AHI low at all pressures - BILEVEL
I'm not confident the osas consultant had a lot of knowledge about the settings. I just had a sleepstudy and she told me she's not an expert in interpreting the PSG. Also I slept with S9 Autoset APAP before and was surprised she got the VPAP S knowing I prefer APAP. I had expected to receive the VPA...

Re: AHI low at all pressures - BILEVEL
Thanks guys. Last night I slept for the first time with the "VPAP S" and the flow from in- to exhalation is much more rigid with the VPAP as what I'm used to with the APAP. Does anybody have a clinical quide (or the titration guide) for the Resmed S9 VPAP S so I know what to set on bi level. I'm als...

Re: AHI low at all pressures - Eye issues and still tired
This morning I received the Resmed S9 VPAP S with setting 10/7 (IPAP/EPAP). Unfortunately it's not an auto machine so EPAP is fixed I'm wondering what the difference is between: Resmed S9 Autoset CPAP-mode 10 and EPR 3 VERSUS Resmed S9 VPAP 10/7 (IPAP/EPAP)? Kind regards Johan PS. @musculus : I don'...

AHI low at all pressures - BI-LEVEL?
Thanks for your answer. The eyeissues could have that reason. As I suspected that also I had duct plugs inserted by my eyedokter so no air should come through anymore. The eye issues are still there.. By using teardrops / moistening a few times a day I'm managing that issue reasonably. At this momen...

AHI low at all pressures - Eye issues and still tired
Hi, Since I'm still feeling fatigued after 8 months of APAP (tried out several pressure with always AHI<1) I got another sleeptest (PSG) end of december. The conclusion was I'm having a fragmented sleep with several wakeups during the night so my sleep quality is poor. The specialist is a bit puzzel...
