well, that's not surprising, you should never keep knives in a drawer, if you don't slice yourself up reaching in there, then the knives will all get dulled and blunted ( like his doctor ) by banging around into each other!
Is he really that terrible? Just because the pressure wasn't just right on the first try? Am I missing something?

Maybe not. We'll just proceed on with your therapy and try to figure it out as best we can. Most of the time, the doctors aren't much good for anything beyond the "diagnosis"......and the users are usually left to fend for themselves.

You have to consider that this being a "self-help" type of forum is pretty much based on that fact. We try to get the users to obtain, study and understand the software reports so they can become "informed users".

PS. Butter knives don't really HAVE to be that sharp, anyway.

I guess I can admit I'm not the best judge of people, especially considering the problems at home. lol. I appreciate all the help I can get.

A word about random ugly clusters...if they just happen once during one night and for a week or two nothing ugly happens again. I don't really worry about those unless I see a consistent pattern of ugliness.
When someone shows us an ugly report..we sort of assume they are seeing that sort of thing all the time and we react accordingly. We haven't had all the others to base our ideas on because we haven't seen the other reports.

Why only a rare "ugly cluster" night and not much so exciting the other nights? We don't know...could be REM related...could be supine related...could be a combination of REM and supine related. For whatever reason the pressure was not optimal for that period of time.

Sometimes crap happens and we don't know why. I could try to blame it on "happens to newbies" but it happens to me too...even after 5 plus years on a machine. There are some times when what happens makes no sense compared to a the majority of other nights and those reports. That's when the aliens get the blame...as good of a reason as any.

OK. So one of my worst fears is currently being realized. The Nuvigil has worked great for more than a week. I have been able to stay awake and spend time with wife and family once I get home from work...that is up until yesterday. It wore off half way through the day yesterday and I ended up falling asleep at 7:30 p.m. Today I don't feel it working at all and am back to falling asleep at my desk again. What now? Do I take a medication vacation and see if that will make it effective for a little while again? Do I call my doctor and explain what is happening (I'm afraid of being taken off the medication since it is so affordable with my insurance and it had been effective up until this point)?
