Defective SDCard

Post by Horowitzjudy » Wed Oct 22, 2014 4:34 pm

I have a Res Med S9 machine. I recently came through an airport scanner in Seattle. They insisted on putting the machine through twice. When I got home that night and turned on my machine, it said there was an error with my SD card. I got a new card, but it still reports that there is an error. Could this have been caused at the airport? Judy

I doubt it Judy. Make sure the card is inserted and seated correctly.
What is the exact error message?

Welcome, Judy. Please sign up for an ID and fill in the equipment on your profile. There's a link in my signature line on how to do this.

It wouldn't surprise me if the X-ray machine corrupted the data on the SD card. It probably wouldn't damage the card or the machine, but that's possible.

Do you use SleepyHead or other software to read the data off of your SD card? If so, see if your computer can still read the card. Copy the whole card to a folder on your PC so that you will still have the data.

Does the S9 ask to format the card? If so, let it do so on the new SD card.
