Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble with air swallowing and I've ready that restless leg/PLMD may contribute to aerophagia, especially on ASV.
I'm waking up consistently through the night and expelling lots of swallowed air. As such, my ASV therapy isn't giving me much benefit.
Has anyone has a similar experience?
Thanks!
Justin

I usually don't read the ASV threads as i have nothing to offer in that arena, so I apologize if this was covered in another thread. But, do you have a reference on this? Curious for selfish reasons. Although I'm not on an ASV machine, your statement makes me want to look at my own nights for any parallel between bad nights with the legs and air in the belly.justinjustin wrote: ...I'm having trouble with air swallowing and I've ready that restless leg/PLMD may contribute to aerophagia, especially on ASV.
Are you diagnosed with RLS/PLMD, symptomatic, or just looking for possible explanations for the aerophagia?

I can't find the article I was on, but yes I was diagnosed with PLMD in an overnight PSG. My doctor, Dr. Krakow, suspects that my leg shakes are contributing to my aerophagia, as he has collected data on many patients that demonstrate a correlation.
