O/T sending pm

Post by lastlib » Mon Sep 22, 2014 2:27 pm

I know that I am less than intelligent but this seems like a stupid question to me.
I want to sent a pm but the form has no place to put in to whom I am sending it. How do I send it.

I know there are no stupid questions but stupid people ask questions.

On the top of the screen next to the user Control Panel is new messges link.
Once you click on that the next screen is a button that say new pm.

Good Luck!

the easiest is just to click the 'pm' button under a users name on the left side of one of their posts

When you start a new PM from scratch you have to be sure you type the intended recipient's name 100% accurately or you'll run into trouble -- best to use the PM button as palerider says, or you can just click on that user's name anywhere you see it and you'll be taken to a screen where you'll see the "PM: Send private message" link.

If you click on the recipients name, you will be directed to that person's profile page.
From that page, you can click on "send PM" You may be prompted to enter a title in addition to the body of your message.
When finished click send.
