Swallowing air at higher pressures

Post by sleepy1235 » Fri Sep 19, 2014 8:23 pm

I had been increasing my pressure from 8 cm-H2O to 15 cm-H2O but rejected 20 cm-H2O because I woke up having a stomach full of air. I got up and when I was vertical was coughing up air from the stomach.

Could this have been a one time incident, or could that be a common effect of getting pressures of 20 cm-H2O or higher?

It's a common effect of raising pressure in general, there's no one level for everyone where it's 'too much', but there are ways of dealing with it. Just curious what got you to raise yours higher and higher...

Why are you making these increases? What was your titrated pressure? What AHI is showing on SH?
