high pressure leakage

Post by girlcat59301 » Fri Sep 19, 2014 12:18 pm

After two years of failure I'm now trying the RES MED Liberty, because of high pressure when it kicks on almost blows my mask off, Should it have to be so tight on the neck to hold the air in. How do you deal with high pressure and leakage,
My pressure is 25/16 I believe. Suggestions?

See if anything here helps you with the Liberty which is a hybrid mask

Looking at the Mirage Liberty owners guide, they only mention a pressure range of 4-20 cm H2O.
Perhaps the upper end of 25 cm H2O exceeds the limit for this mask.

OTOH the Quattro shows a pressure range of 4-40 cm H2O.
My mask, the Oracle 2 easily handles 25 cm H2O without problems.
Operating range of 3-25 cm H2O is noted.

I did not try the Quattro mask, can't handle full face mask claustrophobia too bad, I work this morning with very dry eyes, assume mask leaking into eyes, also work several time with band around my head slipping on my hair. Did not sleep well at all. I feel like I being suffocated. Is this normal..

What model ResMed machine are you using?
25 cm H2O max is pretty high and may exceed the max rating of the P10 as well.
