Re: Moderators are there any?
Are there any moderators in this forum? There is a thread that has been going on for than a year with personal attacks on people, and attacks on other countries. I notice a TON of adds for cpap.com and kinda take that this is a forum run by then or highly sponsored by them. If this is a indication ...

Re: Is the F&P Forma mask a joke?
The Forma has worked good for me other than I am now getting some red rash on my face from the seal now that the weather has started warming up. Leaks haven't been a problem, occasionally have .00 for the night. I think its pretty common for FFM's to fit or not fit different shapes of faces. The Qua...

Re: Events Seem to Cluster At End of Sleep Cycles
You are not alone...I at times also see those same results, its like I am anticipating the alarm going off or something. I can go all night with no events and then within just a few minutes have a group of recorded events. Thats where the software comes in so handy...seeing the details of what happe...

Re: deviated septum
My ENT doctor told me I have a deviated septum & I have tried the strips and couldn't tell much if any difference in breathing thru my nose. I also tried the Liberty Mirage but felt like there was too much air restriction and have settled on a FF mask. Anything that makes the holes in my nose smalle...

Re: Pulse Oximeters
Kevin, Your website looks very nice, functional and informational, good job. I have a follow up sleep doctor appointment in July and at my last appointment he mentioned having the DME set me up with a oximeter for some testing at that time. I have considered getting my own so if I can swing the expe...

Re: Newbie and a side sleeper
I am a side sleeper as well and have had good luck with the Forma FF mask. The most important issue with side sleepers and FF masks is you need a pillow that does not push on your mask, hose or hose connection and there are a variety of pillows out there intended to help that. I have good luck with ...

Re: which fullface mask covers under chin?
I have been using the Forma which tucks under the chin now for several months and it works well for me. I tried the Quattro but it was leaving the bridge of my nose red so the DME suggested I try the Forma, the Quattro problem could have been a sizing issue however. The seals are holding up well as ...

Re: Which Machine ?
Obviously different doctors are going to have different reactions to patients requests but I found that when it was time for the selection of my xpap machine being as well educated as possible about the different machines helped with 'their' final decision. In fact when they called about setting up ...

Oh it works...'burned' the hel# outta my nostril right up to my brain. I was dancing around the room in agony with tears running down my face for at least a decade . Didn't keep me uncongested all that long either...haven't worked up the courage to try it again and that 1 stray was yrs ago. A bit o...

Re: is an AHI of 0 possible?
I have only been at this for about 6 months now and my numbers have definitely gotten better as I go. The best AHI I have seen, just last week, was a .9, most of the time it ranges from 2-4. I am now seeing many AI's of 0.0 which as I understand is the most important number. Considering my sleep stu...

Re: Question concerning H4i Humidifier
still have to occasionally add more water to the tank. There will still be some take up of water into the air flow, even if there is no heat applied. The humidifier still operates in a pass over mode. Cheers, Bill[/quote] Thanks Bill, So it sounds like it would be pretty much just 'evaportation' fr...

Question concerning H4i Humidifier
As you can see below I have an Resmed S8 Autoset with H4i humidifier. Does the humidifier heat at all with the setting turned down as low as it will go? I have been using it this way for several months now and still have to occasionally add more water to the tank. I am trying to decide if I really n...

Re: POLL: Do You Have a Narrow or Wide Xpap Pressure Range
I didn't pick the 5 cm range. The sleep doctors did. First titration IPAP 13, EPAP 8. Second titration IPAP 10, EPAP 5. Go figure. Third titration didn't sleep long enough so was given a "by guess and by gosh" of IPAP 17, EPAP 8, PS ... you guessed it ... 5 cms for PS. Same here...sleep doctor firs...
