I think he's obsessing about which type of mask the op has.

Wow! Best sleep I've had in a very very very long time.
My mask is a full face mask air fit 10. When I get home from work I will try and figure out to add my equipment to my signature .
The airsense is very quiet. I didn't hear anything til the wee hours of the morning. Then I could hear the air exhaled air. Nothing like my old Cpaps. Which I haven't used in about a year.
Usage hours: 8:19 hours.......The most sleep I've had this past year was 6 hours. Usually I averaged about 5.5 hours. I had been awakening super early. I always fall asleep fast!
Events per hour: 3.8
Pressure : 7.3. ********** this is an interesting number as my pressure was set between 9 and 16. So the DME said. ?
Leak: 12l/per min. I did awake with a leak and had to tighten the mask. But it has a leak check before you go to bed. It tells you if there is a leak and sends the pressure up while you check. It has a happy face or sad face on the screen.
AHI: 1.9. From what I've read here,,,,,,,I think this is a good number??
Total AL : 1.1. I don't know what this is?
Central AL 0.5 I don't know what this is?
Over all I am VERY very happy. I've tried in the past to use the Cpaps and have had varied success. But, it has rarely been this good.
The DMEs boss guy told me that the software or cloud for the airsense comes out in November.
Ah, I have a feeling it's going to be a great day!
And if anyone can tell me what some of those numbers mean It would appreciate it very much.
Should I try and find more data? All this data is on a screen.

Check out my SleepyHead tutorial in my signature. While SleepyHead doesn't yet work with this machine the meaning of the numbers is still the same. I think most of your questions regarding the numbers you are seeing will be answered and if something needs clarification just come back here and ask.
ResScan will work with this machine though...I will send you a private message in a bit with more information on using ResScan.
We aren't supposed to know about ResScan but as with anything on the web...we have ways to find out.

Yeah, if you said the pressure was between 9-16. That 7.3 is certainly under that? Might want to check on that. That is your average pressure for the night, not the range set in the Autoset mode. Are you using the ramp function?.
AHI is you total apnea-hypopnea index over that sleep session
Total AL is Total AI - that's an I , not an L on the screen. You're looking at the total obstructive apneas for the night.
Same with Cental AL - It's an I not an L - centrals

In the clinical part of the Autoset, you can set up the sleep report to display a single day, we week, a month, etc on that screen where you got those numbers. While you are in there you can double check the pressure range. If Essential Plus is not checked in the set up, I'd check it. You get a little more info on the screen. Looks like that might already be set for you from the data you quoted.

Software will give you a better view of everything. I've been sending jedimark data. He's working on a Sleepyhead update that is compatible with this new line of Resmed machines.

Sounds like you had a great first night! Congrats and it is nice and quiet, isn't it?
Don't be afraid to go out on a limb.
That's where the fruit is.

I have a call into my DME about the ramp. It was supposed to be on? 9-16. Perhaps it's a good thing it wasn't? My pressure was 7.3 but my Autoset was 9-16.
I probably need to change the pressure from 9-16 to 6-16 or something like that?
I am new to all this. In the past I simply looked at hours on. And didn't really look at that. And my docs never looked at anything other than compliance hours. I like you guys and have learned a lot. Because I mentioned this site the medical supplier he set my data so I could read more data on my screen. They usually don't add that feature to their patients .
So, is 3.8 Events. each night or hour? Is this good, medium or bad?
AHI: 1.9. Is this a good number? I had severe apnea when studied.
AI: 1.1. Good or bad
Central AI: 0.5. Per night or hour? Is this good or bad.
I am so excited to take control of my therapy. Thank all of you for your help.
Happy happy!

this is my first post and I wanted to message you because I just got this machine myself and I was noticing your message about your range being low. When I looked at the ResMed website it says "It automatically adjusts pressure levels to fit your changing needs to ensure you’re receiving the lowest pressure necessary." so maybe you didn't need a higher pressure to maintain your airway? I'm not sure.

That applies only if you leave it wide open (5-20). One doesn't really want to do that. It can take a lot of time to get up to the needed pressure.

Well, now you've piqued my curiosity. 5-20 is my prescription, and I am a newbie (3 weeks in) so there has been no effort to find the "needed pressure".

I've been awakened by the pressure going too high 3 times in the last two weeks. SH shows this to be about 15-18 when this happens.

Why does one not "really want to do that"?

What is your opinion of what course should be taken here?

I am using an S9 Autoset, but I haven't figured out how to edit my personal info here on the forum quite yet (li'l help?)

It is sometimes - chasing the event. If it takes too long to get up to pressure to prevent one it will keep going.

If you didn't do an over night titration then they will put you on an autoset wide open trying to find what you need.
