Woke up panting

Post by Napnea » Mon Sep 15, 2014 9:17 am

I stopped CPAP last night at 12:30 AM because I awoke taking VERY short breaths.
I'd call it panting except it was light and not heavy.
Very uncomfortable. Lasted for about an hour after taking off the mask.
Rest of night was pretty comfortable.

Today I'm a BIT tired. Breathing has become normal.

Anyone else get panting from the CPAP? New (less than week) user here.

It also gives a "feeling" of heart skips when I first start the thing on going to bed.
Xanax helps, but this panting was a bit scary.

Could be anxiety. I tend to that.
I did take half a xanax and felt better, but wow, what a wakeup.

Wow... great going on the weight loss!

How about posting a screen shot of your data so the knowledgeable folks here can offer suggestions. Also, talking to your doctor would be a good idea. Have you had a check up/blood work recently? It never hurts to keep him/her in the loop. Keep in mind that none of us are doctors and he/she knows you best. Peace of mind works wonders.
