This is my first post as I am a new user. For the last week I have found this site to be invaluable. You are sent home with equipment to begin this journey but very little support and unanswered phone calls. This site is truly a blessing and I will visit often. Happy Birthday and thank you CPAPTalk!

Yes, indeed, thanks muchly and happy 10th aniv to the fine folks who have sponsored this site for a...decade!

What I learned from the veteran posters hereabouts (for a good example from Wulfman Den) made a big difference in the success of my xpappian therapy, and one presumes my longevity.

As a CPAP user for over 20 years, I sincerely wish I had discovered this forum ten years ago! Over the last month I have found more practical and helpful information here than I had in my previous two decades about things to try to improve my use of CPAP. When I first started CPAP treatment, I researched and read everything I could find. In addition to reading books, I started visiting sleep disorder-related web sites when they first started appearing (more than 10 years ago), but gave up on them a long time ago because they seemed to so rarely contain any useful information. Instead I mostly tried to keep abreast of the publicly available medical abstracts. But when I was researching some issues relating to my more recent sleep problems, I found this forum and a wealth of great, practical information. I have spent the last month going through numerous posts, and found that the level of practical knowledge from individual and shared experiences is incredibly valuable and impressive. This "crowdsourcing" of practices among CPAP users is a gem!

Ironically, I found cpaptalk.com only this summer, even though I've been a satisfied customer of cpap.com for many years. I wanted to express my congratulations and gratitude toward the Goodmans and their company for their hosting of this site, and to the many posters I've read here who generously share their knowledge and advice! I have learned a lot. Congratulations on the 10th Birthday, and Thanks!

Freddy

I cruised this board as I was being diagnosed and was able to push my doc for an APAP and be very assertive with the supply company to get the mask and exact equipment I wanted. Then working with people here to get tuned in correctly was such a blessing.

I'm so glad this place exists. Thanks!

This site has been very helpful to me and others I have referred to this forum.

Two years now, and things would be much tougher without the forum and all the great forum members!
