Obtaining Sleep Study

Post by Krelvin » Tue Aug 26, 2014 4:11 pm

I had my sleep study on the 19th. I was prepared to wait until I had my Sleep Dr visit on Sept 10th. However, when I left the clinic in the morning I was given an info page which indicated I could get the results via the Hospital's website.

So on Monday, I started looking into it getting it but found the website was looking for a Pin number to assign my account to the results. Nobody seemed to know how I get that. But, when I called the sleep clinic for info about it, she said she would just send me the medical release form and once they got it, they would send me the report.

Got the release, sent it back, and got the release.

Looking at the report, it is very similar to the one I got 8yrs ago. Without the mask, AHI was 89 instead of 96, but everything else was similar.

The one thing I was most interested in was o2 levels which without the mask dropped to around 84%, but with the mask never got below 92% which is good.

Expect the same RX as before, but will be getting a new machine.

Note everybody how easy it is to get a copy of the sleep study!

If you are going to participate in your own therapy, get a copy.

Just for informational purposes...

The cost of the Study just showed up on the claims website. I already know there is no co-pay since I have already exceeded the yearly max on that.

$4,327.00

There is no detail yet as to what was "billed" just the amount with the sleep Dr's name spelled incorrectly. Thought it was funny it has the Sleep Dr's name on it since he wasn't there for the study. there is another billing for him spelled correctly this time for a fee the same day of $350, I guess to evaluate the results?? Not really sure since I haven't seen him yet or see any details on the claim page for that either.

The details on another $350 claim main for the Sleep Dr when I did see him in July was:
