ResMed S9 CPAP Machine with Humidifier -- $100 plus shipping

Post by TXMAVERICKMH » Wed Aug 27, 2014 3:02 pm

Hello All,

I hope this finds you all well. I am trying to sell my used ResMed S9 Cpap with attached H5i humidifier. (REF #36001A) I used this machine approximately 5 times, just could not ever get used to it, it is virtually brand new with charger and very comfortable nose mask. It has the H5i humidifier attached to it (REF#36900A) and runs very quiet and smooth. I would like to sell it for $100, please email me if you are interested and I will send you pictures, txmaverickmh@gmail.com. I promise you will not be disappointed by the condition of this machine, it is like BRAND NEW!

Thanks for your interest!

Newbies -- This could be a good backup machine but be aware that it is a brick -- no treatment data provided.

Michael -- I don't know too many people who have been able to get used to this therapy after just 5 tries, especially with a machine that would not provide any information to help identify the potential problems (beyond just the weirdness of how it all feels at first). Problems like are apnea events actually being prevented, are mask leaks excessive, etc. If you ever decide to give it a fair shot, get yourself a machine that provides treatment data and let us help you work out the challenges.

that's the lowest level machine that resmed makes.

I seriously doubt that you'll find anybody here that would be interested at even a third of that price, because that machine records no useful data at all, it's pretty much just a fan.

someone might want it for spare parts, or a backup machine.

I'm looking for an escape to take apart just out of curiosity, but I wouldn't pay 300$ to satisfy that urge

I appreciate your response, I could never get really used to it, had very mild sleep apnea, and decided to stop using it. In the past 6 months, I have lost 30 pounds due to diet and exercise, and my snoring has stopped completely unless I am incredibly tired.

Anyhow, I would like to sell this cpap machine, please let me know if you are interested.

You have come to a forum where having the ability to monitor your therapy with a full data machine is pretty important.
With your machine if someone runs into trouble there's nothing available from the machine that might offer any clues as to what might be going on.
Someone whose therapy was well under control might be interested in it for a back up machine if the price were right but most of us here are notorious tightwads who shop in the bargain basement for good deals. I bought a gently S9 Autoset with humidifier and all the accessories a while back for $225. I can buy a PR S1 Auto CPAP model 560 (full data) brand new with 0 hours will all the goodies for $400 from a forum member here with an established reputation.

The S9 Escape is a good machine...it just doesn't offer the ability to check one's therapy or leaks or anything really and for the bulk of the forum members here that is going to be a deal breaker unless the price made it too good to refuse and they were okay with that model of machine as a backup or travel machine.

You might check with secondwindcpap.com and see if they are interested in it.
You might also offer it on your local craigslist.
