Too Much Heat

Post by TerriMo » Tue Aug 26, 2014 7:11 pm

Can anyone tell me how to turn the heat off of my humidifier? I wake up feeling like I am suffocating from the heat. I do not like to be hot! LOL...who does, right? Last night was my first night with my new machine and I couldn't wear it after the heat woke me up. I've read the instructions, but they are not very helpful. It's a system one heated humidifier. Thanks!

There are 2 types of System One humidifiers...50 series and 60 series.
Are you using a heated hose?
I don't see a machine model in your profile but your humidifier looks to be 60 series.

To help you best we need to know exactly which machine/model/humidifier and if you are using the heated hose or not if you have the 60 series machine.

The selected humidifier is a series 50 unit.
Please check your blower unit to make sure which series it is.
The easiest way is to remove the humidifier tank, turn the unit over, and look on the blower label for something like DSxxx or REFxxx where the xxx is the model number. The last two digits are the series.

If it a 50 series, then on the LCD screen, turn to setup, scroll down to the humidifier settings, press down, and select off.

If it is 60 series, then on the LCD screen, turn to setup, scroll down to the humidifier settings, for each one (there are two), press down and select off.

That should turn off all heated humidity but leave passover mode on.
