I'll send you a PM, Bookbear... A PM that will contain this :

Accessing the setup menu of the Aeiomed Everest cpap machine:

Disconnect the power source from the CPAP device. The display will be blank.

Press and continue to hold both the left and middle buttons

Continue holding these buttons while connecting power to the CPAP device. The display indicates Clinician Setting mode (indicated by the unlock symbol) and displays the therapy pressure setting.

To adjust the therapy pressure setting, use the buttons under the up and down symbols.

Press the NEXT button.

The blower is now on, and the display shows the therapy pressure selected and an adjustible calibration pressure offset.

(My note: Don't change the calibration adjustment unless you are using a manometer to check the pressure. Just leave that "adjustment" alone.)

Press the NEXT button.

The display shows the ramp duration in minutes. Adjust the ramp duration using the buttons under the up and down symbols. The ramp time can be adjusted from 0 - 45 minutes in 5 minute increments.

Selecting a time value of 0 for the duration disables ramp pressure.

NEXT

If ramp time is allowed, the display will prompt the clinician to answer Y or N to allow the patient to adjust the ramp time. If this screen is skipped, it means that ramp time was disabled by setting the ramp duration to 0 in the previous step.

NEXT

(If Y was selected previously) Select the minimum amount of time the patient will be allowed to select for ramp time. The default value is 5 minutes.

NEXT

Select the maximum amount of time the patient will be allowed to select for ramp time. The default value is 25 minutes.

NEXT

The display indicates the starting ramp pressure.

Adjust the starting ramp pressure using the buttons under the up and down symbols. You may adjust the ramp pressure setting from 4 cm to 1 cm less than the therapy pressure setting in 1 cm steps. The default setting is 4 cm.

NEXT

Select Y to allow the patient to adjust the ramp pressures. If N is selected, the patient will be unable to adjust the ramp pressure settings.

NEXT

Select the minimum amount of pressure the patient will be allowed to select for initiating ramp pressure, the default value is 4 cm.

NEXT

The display shows the total number of therapy hours. This value cannot be adjusted. Note: The ZERO step resets this value to 0.

NEXT

The display shows the number of therapy sessions equal to or longer than 8 hours. This value cannot be adjusted on this screen.
Note: The ZERO step resets this value to 0 and cannot be recovered after exiting Clinician Settings mode.

NEXT

The display shows the number of therapy sessions equal to or longer than 6 hours (but less than 8 hours). You cannot adjust this value on this screen.
Note: The ZERO step...(etc.)

NEXT

The display shows the number of therapy sessions equal to or longer than 4 hours (but less than 6 hours)...etc.
Note: The ZERO step..etc.

NEXT

This allows you to reset all of the saved compliance data sessions back to ZERO.
Press NO to retain the compliance sessions.
Press YES to reset the compliance sessions to ZERO.

The confirmation screen "SURE" appears only if you selected YES in the previous step.

Press NO to retain.
Press YES to reset the compliance sessions to ZERO.

NEXT

(Display window will have the word EXIT in it.)
Press NO to review or change any of the clinician settings.
Press YES to exit and complete Clinician Settings mode.

Rested Gal - thanks VERY much for these instructions. I was re-titrated last week at a new pressure, and I wanted to adjust my machine myself rather than shipping it to my mail-order DME.

One error (maybe the machine software was changed after your instructions were authored.)
All your instructions were accurate until just before the end. After the option to reset the compliance data, which I did, and after answering "yes" to the "are you sure?" question, but BEFORE the "exit?" question appeared, my display showed something like:
[upper case i dash dash upper case i] with a yes no option for the 2 buttons.

I have no idea what that refers to, so selected "next" and exited.

Doug

Thank YOU!!!! I have a nice bedside Apap machine and I use this everest as a backup and for camping. I have my main machine adjusted to a lower pressure, but I thought it a real pain in the rear to take my everest in to a clinic to get it adjusted. I hate that the medical community assumes we are all ignorant self destructive fools and treats us like criminals for trying to adjust our own equipment. Any real CPAP user knows more than any non-user no matter how much education they have been through. I wish they would empower us to become the experts rather than make us trade information on the "black market".
