Tell us some more. What was your diagnosis? What is your pressure setting?

What do your graph lines look like - events, pressure, leak?

How about your sleep hygiene?

Other health issues, medications, stress?

My pressure is fixed at 6. My AHI is about 1.35 on average over a year.I'm have mild to moderate OSA. Leaks and toss and turning seem to decrease my ability to get solid sleep. Feel fatigues and fuzzy foggy all the time. Its gotten worse over the last month. Have a dr appt. in about a month and they said they may have to increase pressure to help out. I think my sleep fragmentation is really starting to takes its toll on how I feel in general. Not fun...

Possibly.
Try it for a few nights and see what happens.

If you are going to increase the pressure I would suggest a small change like 1.0 cm maybe 2.0 but if you try to go from 6 to 9 in one big leap you might notice some discomfort since you having been using 6 for so long. It's just an easier adjustment to go up slowly.

+1

I had bumped my pressure up 2 cm. (from 10 to 12) after being on therapy for about a year and had some trouble getting to sleep the first night or two. Give each setting a few nights to a week and monitor your progress.

As far as your question to changes without Dr. approval, I would say it's OK, and if you keep your documentation on your results, you should have no problems with them. After all, it's YOUR therapy.

True, they need to justify getting paid on an office visit I guess.

Have you tried mask liners for the leaks? They were a game changer for me early in my therapy; go here: http://www.padacheek.com or here: https://www.cpap.com. Many forum members use them, others find them a pain in the rear, others get no benefit from them, and still others have managed to control leaks without liners.

If the leaks are too high, they can make CPAP therapy ineffective and your AHI might be understated.

Can you post a report like this for members to comment on?

You have to upload the image of the report to some place like Photobucket and then link to the image that way.
Steps to do this are discussed here
