As I've been slowly adjusting things to where the APAP is tolerable I've noticed that my OA events are decreasing, but my CA events are increasing. My OA # in SleepyHead dropped from 4.7 to 1.7, but my CA # has gone from 0.1 to 1.5. The data from last night also indicated a periodic breathing event, and the waveform pattern was quite obvious. It was short, but the first one that has been recorded by my machine.
Is this anything to be concerned about? Typical for those still getting used to xPAP treatment?
OA Number Decreasing, But CA Number Increasing?
Re: OA Number Decreasing, But CA Number Increasing?
What kind of a time period are you talking about? Days, weeks, months? Those CA numbers don't sound significant to me.Paralel wrote:As I've been slowly adjusting things to where the APAP is tolerable I've noticed that my OA events are decreasing, but my CA events are increasing. It might also help to know what pressure settings and what adjustments you've been making to them.

Re: OA Number Decreasing, But CA Number Increasing?
The increase in CA numbers is not enough to be a worry.
An occasional PB event is also not significant enough to be a worry. Would need lots of PB events that were prolonged and stuffed full of CAs to be a worry.

Re: OA Number Decreasing, But CA Number Increasing?
The change has been over the last five days.
Original settings were 10/16, Heated Tube On, Heated Tube 1, Humidity 3, A-Flex 3
Current settings, 10/13 [seemed more reasonable as I have not seen any pressures above 11.5], Heated Tube On, Heated Tube 3 [Just too dry otherwise], Humidity 3, A-Flex Off [Pressure changes drove me crazy]
