still alive and kicking.

Post by Tatooed Lady » Thu Dec 20, 2018 7:31 am

Life has been busy, seasons and health have changed, last time I was sick it was a nasty upper respiratory goo that apparently has had lingering effect. My AHI went from below 1 to 4 and even 5. I waited it out in misery, to be sure it was a trend and not just a fluke...a couple weeks of that and I wanted to throw in the towel. Instead, I boosted my pressure a cm or so, and POOF! I'm back to my low numbers and just feeling old and decrepit, but awake.

I attribute my knowledge on SUCCESSFULLY handling my own therapy to this forum...so if you're a newbie to the CPAP life, pay attention to the info passed down from the top people here. They actually know their stuff.

And HELLLLOOOOOOO to all my old friends here. :)

Good to see you here again.
Of course I knew you were fine but the others may not have known you were still alive and kicking.

I always up my pressure a bit when I have allergies or a cold. Though I can do that pretty easily since I have no Centrals.
Instead of Sleep apnea it should be called "Sleep deprivation, starving of oxygen, being poisoned by high CO2 levels, damaging the body and brain while it's supposed to be healing so that you constantly get worse and can never get healthy Apnea"

Pugsy, lol, you have the inside scoop on me. ;) I blame you guys for making me so awake I got that award last year.

Chunky, Merry Christmas right back atcha! I've missed the dysfunction here, but the road supplies a ton of distraction.

Palerider, lol, how would you know, have we met? ;)

Nicholasjh1, I'm not talking WHILE I was sick, but weeks later. I'm still using higher pressure, I'm sort of afraid to drop it.

Anyhow, *hugs* to those who need and deserve them, I'm like Willie Nelson, on the road again...

Edit: f'ing autocorrect

Not as such, but I *have* seen (mostly not-incriminating) pictures.
