ClimateLine tubing for an S9 Bi-Level machine

Post by Stevoreno_55 » Fri Aug 01, 2014 6:37 am

I noticed on this board's website there are 2 different ResMed ClimateLine heated hoses for S9 machines; there's a regular ClimateLine hose or tubing and a ClimateLineMax hose or tubing which it's description states it's designed for Bi-Level machines. Will either hose work on a ResMed S9 VPAP S Bi-Level machine or not? Would I need to purchase a ClimateLineMax hose for a ResMed S9 VPAP S Bi-Level machine that will be set on 22cmIPAP and 18cmEPAP? Would I need the larger hose since my pressure is so high or not?

Specs on the ClimateLine hose - 78" long; hose diameter is 15mm; retail price on CPAP.com - $40.00
Specs on the ClimateLineMax hose - 75" long; hose diameter is 19mm; retail price on CPAP.com - $51.00

Could the larger ClimateLineMax hose cause problems with a full face mask sealing properly at a pressure of 22cm or would I be better served by purchasing the smaller diameter ClimateLine hose; the 15mm one since my pressure is now 22cm?

With over 50 views nobody on this board has any input to offer on which ClimateLine hose would be better to use on a BIPAP? Nobody?

Stevoreno

My reading of the specs has the difference being just hose diameter.
I can't find anything that would indicate a preference.
Flip a coin and pick.

Hose diameter does not impact pressure. I use an S9 Autoset/H5i with ClimateLine - it works fine and is quiet in use. My pressures are in the 10-12 range
