Software with F&P icon ?

Need to take charge of my progress. Using equipment just over 1 month now and don't know what's going on. My machine came without smartcard, it was recently sent to me for compliance only to install data and return to dme.
Do I have options here? Or should I start from scratch with new Dr. , Dme , etc.
I'm not satisfied with my results.

Have you mailed the smart card back yet? If not use it to get SleepyHead software up and running and let's see what the machine stores and writes to the Smart card.
If not mailed back yet....use it in the machine overnight and let's see what the data shows is going on.

Your machine is a full efficacy data machine and before going down the road of a new dr, dme or machine...how about evaluating what you have available and see what can be done to maybe improve things.

I have never seen the Icon smart card.....where can someone buy one to keep in the machine full time?

Do you have the provider/clinical manual for your machine that shows how to get the data that is available off the LCD screen?

I have user manual only for machine, it's hard to find full manual. Machine has to be programmed to view data on screen and it's not, other than compliance.
When the equipment was delivered the respiratory tech was looking for card then stated it will probably be mailed.
Does anyone know if it's available if dme refuses to send me one. Very uncomfortable with situation.

I have never seen a Icon smart card so I don't know what it looks like or where to find one if it has to be a special card.
The other brands use a regular SD card which makes it much easier.

I will keep looking to see if I can find a source for the Icon smart card. Will let you know if I find one.

I have that machine and that looks like the card.

If the machine dumps the data from internal memory to the card, they might have to be careful doing it with a card they purchase. If the DME sends a card and he puts it in and the machine doesn't have anything in it's internal memory after dumping it to his card, it may cause an issue with compliance. I have no idea if it does that or not, but after working in IT for the last 20 years, it would not surprise me if that's the case.

It seems to me that the practice of mailing cards is a little archaic. My DME has me stick the card in my computer and run their InfoUSB app that uploads the data to them.

It doesn't do that. The data stored on the internal memory is normally available for 1 year and even after a year only the oldest data gets written over.
Someone could use a dozen different smart cards for downloads and the data on the internal memory will still be there for each and every smart card.
So no way to mess up any later compliance requirements.

That looks just like a plain USB memory stick. Have you tried using one if those to see if the machine writes to it?
The user manual describes using the InfoUSB app to initialize the card. That sounds as if some special formatting is happening .

Yes the f&p icon utilises a usb memory stick but it's a special design made to fit so it's proprietary.
And I concur the data is actually held in the machine and copied to the usb so the data is not lost with no usb or when a new usb is inserted.
I also agree with the others sleepyhead is the best tool to analyse the data the latest version has some great support!
Really just backing up what the others have said the only difference is I use an icon auto. (Which I love)
