travel sized cpap - anyone have one?

Saw an ad for travel sized cpap. I just retired and plan on traveling a lot. Anyone have experience with these? It would sure be nice to have a smaller sized machine for travel. Pros? Cons? Experiences? Anything?

Re: any idea why my machine doesn't "auto start"

Thanks all.
Just didn't want to use it if that was a problem. As I said, I have no problem starting it manually!
Have a great evening!

Re: any idea why my machine doesn't "auto start"

No. Just last night. Tried it twice with same results. So, I'm just over reacting- which is good! I'm heading out of state for awhile and didn't want to use a machine that shouldn't be used because something was wrong....does that make sense?

Re: any idea why my machine doesn't "auto start"

I haven't changed any settings, so it should be pressure at 6 and 15 min ramp.
I waited about 4 min...it never took more than 2 breaths.

any idea why my machine doesn't "auto start"

hi Our file cabinet is not in our new home yet and my machine books are in the file cabinet. So I'm wondering if anyone has a quick answer to what (didn't) happen last night. My machine usually auto starts when I start to breathe in the tap pap pillows. This time, however, it did nothing. I started ...

Transporting distilled water or ??

What do all of you do about water for the humidifier? I have a respiranic. Can it be used with out the humidifier? I know it can be taken apart but it has been so long since I did that orientation that I can't remember why one would take it apart and how to take it apart. Is it to use without the hu...

Re: replacement hose question

There is absolutely nothing wrong with them sending you the generic hose. The one that comes with the machine is the fancy 'slimline' hose, but replacements are standard generic hoses. You accidentally crushed your old hose, and you now want a new fancy hose? Pay out of pocket. There is no differen...

Re: replacement hose question

Thanks
I'm calling the company tomorrow. The packing list, by the way, listed the cost of that clumsy grey hose as $40.

Why wouldn't they just send me what I had? Grrrr. Time wasted. I do not have time to waste!

replacement hose question

hi all The hose, which was white and clear, I had ended up messed up a little so the insurance sent another hose. This one is a lot heavier than the first and it's grey. I haven't used it yet as I'm not liking the weight of it. I didn't pick the hose, but the insurance co covered my first hose 100% ...

Can you help me identify a problem, if there is one?

I've been on cpap for about a month. From the INFO area of my machine I have this info: My usual AHI was under 5 there were 0 large leaks. I have no idea how to locate any other info. I read some people talk about sleepyhead. Have no clue what it is, sorry. I've had a head/chest cold (in case that i...

Re: For sale : why???? warning pic

Geeezzzz. My first thought was wow. This person is trying to make a big buck fast. Now, I'm new to using cpap but my dad used of for years and, to us, that price is steep. However, I wondered: if you're a registered respiratory therapist (as per your signature), you already know that price is pretty...
