I cannot seem to stop my leaks. I am using ultra mirage which I have used for last year. I am a mouth breather
Is there any nasal pillow that is good for a mouth breather. My mask pressure is all askew. My leak threshold is over limit. I have used liners but they seem to move in the night and end up covering my mouth.
Has anyone used the Innomed hybrid?
My nightly events tie directly into my leak times Thanks

Re: cant stop the leaks
Tried FFMs but got really bad claustrophobia. Innomed was tough to seat right with the chin ledge and the nasal pillows so I only used it once. A good friend told me to try nasal rinses and then pillows or nasal mask and to NOT accept I was actually a mouth breather. He was SO right.
I now rinse 1/2 times a day, use Flonase very morning and have settled on a P10 pillow mask (Nuance is my back up) - AHIs below 2, 8 hours on mask, very happy.

Re: cant stop the leaks
If you are a confirmed mouth breather and want to experiment with a different type of mask, take a look at my post of the Oracle 2 mask (link in my signature block below) and think if you would be able to use one.
After solving the nasal leakage problem (documented on how to do this), and the jaw drop problem (also documented on how to do this), I get zero leaks for most nights.
If you want to try one, let me know of any questions you may have and I'll try to help in any way I can.

Re: cant stop the leaks
I use nasal pillows. When I increased my pressure I started to wear a head band over the top of my head and under my jaw to keep my mouth shut. Seems to work okay.

Thanks englandsf, JDS74 and sleepy1235 for your insight into my problem. And thanks for the info on innomed being hard to place.
Think I may try the oracle, I was reading about it just last night. You guys are the best

Re: cant stop the leaks
If your mask liner moves, you may not have the straps quite tight enough... just a thought, you could try tightening just a tad as you don't want the straps too tight.

Ive already read the posts on the Oracle.
I was up at my DME today to get another FF Quattro only because i get a free mask every 6 months on my insurance, not that i needed one but but i figure its good to have a back up I guess but i did ask for the ORACLE and he said no one orders them but if i want it, I just have to give him some warning and he will get it in for me.
Id be interested in hearing your experience with it if you do try it as I don't find it that easy to prevent the exhaled air coming out my nose so I am not sure how this will work.
Not sure if its true but he did tell me a lot of people swallow air with that mask and return it????? If anyone can comment......
IF YOU HAVE AN ANGULAR FACE as opposed to a round shaped one, etc, you should give the QUATTRO AIR a try. I don't get ANY leakage at all with it
