new user, mask shifts up when I roll onto my side.

I just started using a CPAP this week, the ResMed 460s (I think). I'm having an issue with the full face mask shifting upward on me while sleeping. I try to sleep on my back but I guess I roll over onto a side while sleeping. I've woken up a few times and my mouth is halfway out of the bottom of the mask.
Is it that the straps need to be adjusted? They feel tight one night then loser the next. My first night at home, I ended up with marks on my forehead for 1/2 the day because it was too tight. I even tightened the bottom straps last night before I went to sleep but then they felt too tight so I loosened them a little.
Also, does anyone use a phone app called SleepMapper? There is a sticker on my CPAP advertising it. The permissions on the app require access to the camera and microphone. Why does it need this?

I've used sleepmapper. IMO, it's overrated. It shows a minimal amount of information, and mine said my last use of my APAP was on 7/1. NOT likely. It's another app to delete, in my case.

A couple of things - why are you trying to sleep on your back - it provokes the most apneas of all positions. Second, fit the mask as well as possible when on your side, and don't tighten to the point where lifting the mask in the middle with two fingers (only a couple of cms) doesn't allow the cushion to inflate as it should... it will flatten a bit once you relax, but shouldn't be rammed into your face either. And a last thing - some people on their sides tend to get their chins down to their chest, and that blocks airflow, so they get hold of small. soft, and inexpensive cervical collars (like mini whiplash types, only soft and smaller) which keeps their heads up better overnight and can make a big difference to therapy.

I had the Sam problem with full face masks. The bottom of the mask would wind up in my mouth, like a bit in a horses mouth.
I found this mask and it worked better for me, but I still prefer a nasal mask when I can breath through my nose (no stuffed up nose).

Now I use the Wisp nasal mask most of the time.

I have used a dozen different masks. Some for a few days and done, others that I really liked until I didn't. The only only thing that stays the same is change.
