thanks....
I am really mad at my aliens at the moment. They messed with my humidifier and it appears to have quit working and my nose is giving me fits at the moment. Now I have to make sure it was just the humidifier and not something on the machine side. I think it might still be in warranty.......close to end of warranty though.

Have you tried white vinegar and water once a month? Cuts the dissolved solids which allow the bacteria and mold to get a grip...

Didn't read the whole thread - but I take about two ounces of diluted Control III (see label) and swish it around in my tank with the lid on, then let it set for an hour or so. I do this twice a week and have done so for a year... no nasty biofilm or filth issues so far.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I get even get my reservoir tank to open. It seems abnormally stuck closed. I see hinges but feel like I'm going to break it if I try and force it open.

If you've been using it for months on end, a biofilm has probably glued the lid to the silicone seal on your tank. I did it your way a long time and eventually you will get a film or residue to build up in the corners of your tank... it can be very tough to get rid of. Yes, I do use distilled water and filter the air but some contamination does get thru. It doesn't take much to start stuff growing, especially over time and I think hot Georgia would be a haven for critters like that. But hey, if you're happy with the way your humidifier works then stick with your plan

I've only had it for about 7 weeks or so and emptied it twice since then to travel with it. I tried to open it when it was brand new, no water ever in it, and I couldn't get it open.
