Re: Upgrading from ResMed S9 to... ?
I'm in the same boat. Due for a new PAP. I "fired" one DME and went to a new one, an independent(?) non-profit set up by the 2 hospitals in town. They do hospice, home health too. (I'm not in the need of hospice just yet ) I'm happy with my S9 AutoSet and thinking I will just replace it with the sam...

I find the rebuttal of the original article accurate and agree with Dr. Holle's conclusion.

Re: Surgical solution (?)
FYI? I hope not. The procedure, whether or not it's now been improved on, may work for certain people, but the information in the article otherwise is wrong - there was no mention at all that the 'only' 30% who supposedly use Cpap are doing it not because it doesn't work, but because no one has hel...

They have an odor. That means that they are volatile organic molecules. They are not "attached" to the water molecule. I do not know that I would want to inhale various organics into my lungs.

This link has a nice discussion on biofilms. When you clean the chamber, this is the slickness you feel scrubbing the metal tub.

Re: hearing the radio through my CPAP
Do you have a radio transmitter in your area near? You could try RFI plug on the input wire. Move any radio receivers out of the area, make a shield out of foil and place it over the xpap, ground the shield. Jim Years ago I was visiting family in Bodo Norway. The airport was a NATO base and had a p...

Re: My prescription clusterf**ck; DME doesn't take my insurance.
Is a faxed prescription still valid? I could ask them to fax it to me so I don't have to wait for the mail. Get both for your files. Then send a copy of one to the hosts of this forum, CPAP dot com. You can then print out a copy wherever you have internet access, for example if you need a part in a...

My mother-in-law was a type 2 diabetic and loved chocolate. After her diagnosis, she controlled it with diet alone. She never had another chocolate. She live for almost 35 years and only needed to use drugs the last couple of years. She passed last year at 91. The most self discipline I have had the...
