Re: Another sleep drug: Belsomra (suvorexant)
I wonder what the cost will be. For one Lunesta tablet (for a sleep study) insurance wouldn't pay anything, so it cost me $12. That's $360 for 30 pills, way too much for me.

Re: Coffee Analyzer
Interesting site. Even with my waking up three times a night I still get a sleep quality score of 9 (not bad).
I do miss my coffee though (2 cups of real - max, 1 cup of decaf, all by 10:00 a.m.) I used to drink the stuff pretty much all day.

Re: Diagnose me
You all are very persuasive. I went ahead and ordered the 50D+ from Amazon. 2 Day delivery Correct me if I'm wrong, but I intend to follow this process: 1) Verify that my oxygen saturation drops below 88% multiple times per night. 2) Acquire an auto adjusting CPAP machine that provides full efficac...

Re: Can't stay asleep!!! 2 - 3 hours and I wake up
I usually just get up, and take the mask off and fall back to sleep. I will try just restarting the machine to get the level back down to 7. Curious what settling is, because why can't i set the min at 9.8 which is what it likes to goto, then click ramp or something to fall asleep. dont' understand...

Re: Can't stay asleep!!! 2 - 3 hours and I wake up
I have been on and off CPAP for years. I feel its starting to affect me. I have never really been able to sleep in entire night on it. I have the S8 Autoset II w humidifier and Swift LT hose. Settings: Auto - 7 min - 14 max - most night when i get up and check the pressure its stayed at 9.8 most. I...

Re: Poll: Have Any of You Been Caught Changing Your Pressure?
Not being allowed to change my pressure based on the data makes as much sense as not knowing if my diet is working unless I get weighed on the doctor's scale. Let's not forget that CPAP isn't that easy, that a lot of people don't understand the concepts, and that there are a lot of people out there...

Re: Poll: Have Any of You Been Caught Changing Your Pressure?
Yes, it was poorly worded. My attempted point was if I follow the "rules", only the DME knows whether my therapy is working or not, and they only check before a doctor appointment. How well would that work for weight loss (or diabetes control) if the only time you could check was every nine months o...

Re: OT blood suger meter
Were you diagnosed with diabetes ? I thought if that was the case almost all insurance plans paid for diabetic testing supplies. There's a co-pay, and if you have a yearly prescription deductible you have to meet that before the co-pay even kicks in. In my case annual deductible = $500, co-pay afte...

Re: JUST GOT TESTED
It's tough when you can't sleep during a sleep study. That's what happened to me on my first one. They concluded I didn't have SA either. I did have episodes of low oxygen, and after being x-rayed, sent to a cardiologist, then to a pulmonologist with negative results, a second study was ordered. Tha...

It happens to me too. In my case, just because my AHI is low doesn't mean I actually got much sleep, because sleep apnea is just one part of the sleep disorder equation.

Re: Robbing Peter to Pay Paul
I'm just guessing here, but I think the only thing that really matters is what your O2 level is through the night. I pretty much ignore centrals because they're always of short duration, and there's nothing I can do about them anyway. Hyponeas are something I don't even understand, but again there's...

Re: Pad-A-Cheek Liner Arrived - Got a Quesiton
Do you guys ever use it without widening the nose hole? So that your mouth remains covered? I just used mine on my Quattro Air last night and although it was incredibly comfortable I woke up with an upset stomach from bloating. If I cut a hole for my mouth will I be sacrificing a whole lot of comfo...

Re: Did your DME provide follow up?
My DME is (was?) Lincare, and during my first year using CPAP they were pretty good at responding to my questions and sending my monthly supplies. Since the beginning of 2014, they've disappeared from the face of the earth as far as I'm concerned. No supplies, phone calls not returned, questions not...

Re: ResMed Mirage Quattro add these liners or dump it?
My padacheek liners lasted 13 months before I needed to replace them. I probably could have made them last longer if I were crafty. I've bought the padacheek liners, but the opening for my mouth/nose is so small I find them to be useless. I realize that it can be trimmed, but I find cutting the fab...
