Re: Cleveland clinic Home Care

Didn't Make sense to me either. I wanted to stay with the clinic cause of there rep location sleep centers are nice etc. But looks like I will be looking for a different sleep doctor and hospital once I see my primary care doctor. I do have my sleep study report no problem getting that . Thanks for...

Re: Cleveland clinic Home Care

Doctor at the Clinic just had there DME Resp Therapist call me to discuss. Of course I got the run around about AUTOCPAP needing to be on the script. I stressed it doesn't etc etc. And that if they give me my script I can get one any place I wish. She said she would ask the doctor based on our talk...

Re: Frustration: aerophagia & pillow rainout

Oh, and I forgot to mention that my AHI last night, while using the EPR at 3, was .3 this morning. Which pretty much average for me since starting cpap. So, that's good.

Re: My fight with aerophagia (air swallowing).

I can't get the leak rate anywhere near zero, even while awake. By adjusting the angle of the mask, I can choose to have it leak at the top or the bottom, but I can't eliminate the leaks. (I prefer having it leak at the bottom so it doesn't blow in my eyes.) I'll try a different hose to see if that...

Re: Bacteria, oh the horror! Sleep supplies and myths

. . . toothbrushes. . . sales. Please do not use cpaptalk.com to advertise your products. The reference was in context , and somewhat related; if the Goodmans don't object, I don't either. This, +1. The reference to what she sells was perfectly in context and not to be considered "spam" in the least.

Re: Full Face Mask + Chinstrap?

Chin strap works like a charm for me. No more mouth breathing I might be wrong as this is just a recent problem I have noticed having, mouth breathing that is........that one is opening their mouth to breathe becaUse their nose is stuffed up. Can one confirm this to be true or dead wrong? But if tr...

Re: Frustration: aerophagia & pillow rainout

Update about last night - turned the humidifer back on, set to 1.5, which is my preferred setting comfort-wise. No rainout last night, but that's not all that unusual. It seems to come and go with weather changes. Go figure. I am ordering a climate line. Waiting to see if insurance is going to kick ...

Re: Dog and sleep apnea

They train dogs to alert to epilepsy and diabetes. Some dogs seem to have trained themselves. Yep. My friend's 4 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with T1 diabetes and is now on an insulin pump. Of course, this includes ongoing vigilance against not only the highs that everyone knows about, ...

Rofl. I know they tease you about your rinse regimen, but you sold at least one person with repeating it. I'm giving it a try tonight. I will report back.

Re: Frustration: aerophagia & pillow rainout

Using EPR ...exhale pressure relief...will drop the pressure during exhale which might help your aerophagia issues. Each setting on EPR is equal to 1 cm....so a setting of 3 will drop the pressure on exhale 3 cm....example...with pressure of 10 on inhale then on exhale it would drop to 7 cm. It can...

Re: Full Face Mask + Chinstrap?

I don't use a chin strap with a FFM, so I can't help you with that question. However, I DO use a chin strap with nasal pillows because I'm a stubborn night-time mouth breather and couldn't find a FFM that fit me well. Chin strap works like a charm for me. No more mouth breathing.

I just checked the machine, and EPR says "full time" and EPR level "off".
