Re: How many pillows do you use?

Anyone know a way to avoid tucking an arm under your head when side sleeping, as it messes up my elbows when I do it...? I stretch my arms straight out in front of me. If you have the room, go for it, lol. My bottom arm is straight out - I bunch up the blanket a little near my wrist to prop it and ...

Re: Cleveland clinic Home Care

their reason is in valid - if your pressure says 8 then the tech sets the the min and max to 8 ( and then you go home and fix it to what you want) I don't agree that this is a valid reason. Since APAP's can run in EITHER CPAP or APAP mode, if you have a fixed pressure, all they have to do is set it...

From what I understand, it's from my own exhalation. I must be well-hydrated, lol.

Re: Frustration: aerophagia & pillow rainout

The rain out seems very odd in July, do you cool your room a lot? I also found a nasal rinse at night can cause water to lodge in my sinuses and wake me up when it "moves". Maybe try earlier in the day or a few hours before bed? My main rinse is at first light when I also use my nasal spray (Veramy...

Re: Frustration: aerophagia & pillow rainout

Oh. My. Gosh. I just have to say how much I love Edgepark. I've been using them for a year for my diabetic supplies without a single hiccup along the way. Not one, ever. I'm sure that's unusual for any DME customer to say, and I'm sure that Edgepark has customers who are not happy. It's just the way...

Re: How much sleep do you need?

Last night I put it on 1.5. Several of the previous nights it was off entirely. I alternate. I'm still trying to get a handle on the stupid rainout that I've begun experiencing in my pillows on and off. I've ordered a climate line to see if that helps. No rainout in the hose itself yet, just the pil...

Re: Why no EPR/C-Flex as norm?

Same here. I just make the tweaks, then exit back out of the menu. Still waiting to get hand-slapped for changing over from cpap to apap, lol. My sleep doc gave me a prescription to switch, with pressure 5-15. That prescription is still in my purse. I just came home and changed it, rather than deal...

Re: How much sleep do you need?

Tia, when I was using the FFM I had two fans on either side of the pillow to keep my head cool. The claustrophobia was made much worse by the heat and humidity of the FFM air too. The body cooling effect is only with the P10s and only after I've gone to sleep. As I fall asleep I often get overheate...

Re: How many pillows do you use?

I use one pillow, but it's an extra firm pillow for side sleepers. Anything else, and my neck hurts terribly in the morning. I find that keeps the angle of my spine from skull to pelvis fairly straight. I punch and squish and mold the pillow so there's a divot at the middle edge for my head, with my...

Re: Bacteria, oh the horror! Sleep supplies and myths

This may have been answered and I missed it, but do you change the distilled water in the humidifier every night or do you just add to it? This may be horrifying, but I just add to it all week. I take it out and wash it with soap and water once a week or so, and let it air dry. But the rest of the ...

Re: How much sleep do you need?

Has anyone else found they sleep "cooler" with CPAP. I swear I don't throw the covers off or toss and turn as much. Is it the actual temperature of the fact that I'm sleeping deeper I wonder?... This has been true for me, too. And I'm the odd-ball who actually likes the feeling of the air blowing i...

Re: Why no EPR/C-Flex as norm?

My Res Med does not allow EPR settings on the user menu either. you'll have to unlock it in the clinician menu then. I just go to the clinician menu whenever I need to change stuff. Don't want my clinic and DME to freak out if they find out I modified the user's menu.[/quote] Same here. I just make...

Re: Cleveland clinic Home Care

Didn't Make sense to me either. I wanted to stay with the clinic cause of there rep location sleep centers are nice etc. But looks like I will be looking for a different sleep doctor and hospital once I see my primary care doctor. I do have my sleep study report no problem getting that . Thanks for...

Re: I'm Done. Cannot do this.

If you try a pillow and are a suspected mouth breather, try really dropping the humidity and/ or temp - it can help clear your nose. Also Alkolol rinse contains alum which can help dry out your sinuses a bit. how much kickback do you get each time you mention that? do they mind you misspelling thei...
