Re: How to avoid swallowing air?
I had the same issue, I use the EPR and it didn't help at a starting pressure higher than 10. I bought a wedge and that did not help me at all. My optimum starting pressure would be 12 if I get around swallowing air, since I can't I keep my starting pressure at 10. FYI Search found 6597 matches: +ae...

Re: Reaction to mask straps
Not sure if it will work for you but it works great for me and does double duty. I use a folded bandanna, place it over my eyes and then under the straps of my mask. It works great as an eye mask and protects my face from strap marks. Good luck.

Re: leakage
I am using a full face mask since they are designed to be used by people end up with an open mouth. The full face mask does not stop the desert mouth. I am using the Biotene Gel (tried the spray didn't work as well) and I also tape from the sides of mask down under my chin to help coax my mouth to s...

Re: I am done with C-Pap
Can take a photo of the hours your machine was used? If they are paying for the machine still then they know when it was "rented" and can figure out if you average what ever their compliance is. I battled with my DME and BCBS, not only did I win the battle so did the DME as they earned an additional...

Insurance Payments and Codes
Does the insurance company pay the same amount for any mask in a category. Such as, does insurance pay the same for the Air Fit N10/P10 and the Zest Q Nasal or do they have different codes? I know the Airt Fit P10 and N10 have the same code for billing BCBS.

Re: QT: Windows 10 this summer, Free upgrade first year
Okay no subscription for Windows 10, that is a good thing. I do hope it is much improved over Windows 8. My Dad just bought a new laptop and it has Windows 8. I was going to remove 8 and install 7 (after purchase) when I found a program that allowed me to make 8 look like 7. I suppose I would have l...

Re: Nasal pillow without strap???
I too tried the p10 and my issue is really the amount of hair I have on my head, no matter what I did the straps would not stay in place. I even tried using those little snap barrettes. I don't know if that would help you or not but I thought I would tell you one of tricks I tried. Good luck.

I wouldn't mind trying it out but I am unwilling to pay a yearly subscription to use it after the first year.

Re: DME: Using Tape "Is Creepy"
My mouth drops open too and I am using a FFM. I tried a chin strap and it was in the way of the bottom of mask. I tried taping with nasal mask and that was horrible when I woke up and couldn't get a breath. I tape from the sides of my FFM down under chin that helps some but I still wake with a deser...

Re: Insurance Hassles (bait and switch I say)
Jay the insurance allowed the amount billed for both the cpap and humidifier to the tune $1555.00. I contacted BCBS IL and they said whatever BCBS MI allowed there is nothing they can do. I guess that means the DME will "write off" my co-pay. I think since he got an additional 70% profit the should ...

Re: Insurance Hassles (bait and switch I say)
I wasn't expecting to pay more for the dumb thing and I am arguing with them via email. DME:We billed the purchase as 1250.00. That’s 50.00 more, which doesn’t even matter because they have an allowable amount so whatever extra we billed will get written off. BCBS:Service Date Service Description Bi...

Re: Nasal Mask Users
My nose didn't take well to pillows at all, not sure that was because of the issues with the head gear I had. I was wanting to try the latest and greatest in mask as the last mask I had gotten before this journey with trying to find a new mask was around 2008/2009. I think I will try a "new" flex fi...

Re: Insurance Hassles (bait and switch I say)
Update on my insurance hassle with the DME and BCBS. The rental charges were all reversed and the Carelinc billed for a purchase and that was approved by BCBS. That said the purchase price increased 39% over the what would have been the total 10 rental. Purchase Price $1555.00 10 Month Rental Price ...
