Pillow

Post by Gus » Mon Jul 21, 2014 5:39 pm

Im a back and side sleeper. I'd like to get a pillow that is made for my mask but have read many opinions that the pillows are not worth the $$$. I sleep pretty good but going to my side without my nasal mask breaking the seal is hit or miss. $50 for great sleep would be worth it.... I just need some real success stories. Thanks.

I don't know what mask you are using, but with my FF mask, AirFit F10 I am using a regular-shaped tempurpedic pillow (top-of-the-line memory foam). It molds itself to the mask and my face. There are pillows with cut-outs that some people. I just googled "cpap pillow" and got a number of hits, in addition to some articles that review these pillows or tell you how to choose one. I picked two that look promising, if I wanted to buy one but you may want a different kind.

I actually have been researching all day and saw that pillow. I use a mirage fx nasal. There was a 2 sided pillow that I was considering as well... contour max pillow.
Thanks for your reply.

I use the contour pillow. It's a memory foam pillow with cutouts. I've used it for about three years, and probably couldn't sleep without it (I say "probably" because I've never tried). You have to adjust to the memory foam. I have a Temper-pedic bed, so adjusting to the pillow was no big deal. Along with the cutouts, the pillow has a small ledge that will support the neck... which is nice.
